2. Setup Guide
2.1 Unboxing and Initial Placement
- Remove all packaging materials and protective films from the robot and the auto-empty dock.
- Place the auto-empty dock against a wall on a hard, level surface. Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on both sides and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in front of the dock.
- Connect the power cord to the dock and plug it into a power outlet.
- Place the robot on the dock to charge. Ensure the power indicator on the robot lights up.
2.2 App Connection
- Download the Roborock APP from your mobile app store (supports 2.4G WiFi only).
- Follow the in-app instructions to add your device and connect it to your home Wi-Fi network.
- Once connected, you can access full control features, including scheduling, suction adjustment, and mapping.

3.1 Cleaning Modes
- Vacuum & Mop: Simultaneous vacuuming and mopping for comprehensive cleaning.
- Vacuum Only: Ideal for carpets or when mopping is not desired.
- Mop Only: For hard floors requiring only mopping.
- Vacuum then Mop: Robot first vacuums, then mops the area.
- Custom: Allows setting specific cleaning preferences for each room via the app.
3.2 Suction Power and Water Volume
Adjust suction power (up to 10,000 Pa HyperForce) and water volume (3 levels) via the Roborock app to suit different floor types and cleaning needs. The robot automatically increases suction on carpets for deeper cleaning.

3.3 Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance

4. Maintenance
4.1 Self-Emptying Dock
The 2.7L dust bag in the auto-empty dock provides up to 7 weeks of hands-free cleaning. Replace the dust bag when full, typically every 7 weeks depending on usage.

4.2 Dual Anti-Tangle System
The robot features a JawScrapers Comb main brush and a specialized anti-tangle side brush to minimize hair tangling. Regularly check and clean these brushes to maintain optimal performance.

4.3 Washable Filter
The robot is equipped with a washable filter. Clean the filter regularly under running water and allow it to air dry completely before reinstalling to ensure consistent suction power.
5. Troubleshooting
- Robot not charging: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into the dock and the outlet. Check if the robot is correctly aligned with the charging contacts on the dock.
- Robot getting stuck frequently: Clear obstacles from the cleaning path. Use the app to set no-go zones around problematic areas or delicate items.
- Reduced suction power: Check if the dustbin is full and empty it. Clean the main brush and side brush for tangled hair or debris. Clean or replace the washable filter.
- Mopping not effective: Ensure the water tank is filled. Check if the mop pad is properly attached and clean. For stubborn stains, select a higher water volume setting in the app.
- App connectivity issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4G. Restart your router and the robot. Try re-pairing the robot with the app.
