The FREDBECK barn door operates by sliding along the mounted track. Ensure the track is clear of obstructions for smooth movement.

  • To open or close the door, gently grasp the pull handle and slide the door along the track.
  • The floor guide at the bottom of the door helps maintain alignment and prevents the door from swinging out.
  • Avoid forcing the door if it encounters resistance. Inspect the track and rollers for any obstructions or damage.

4. Maintenance

Proper maintenance will ensure the longevity and continued smooth operation of your FREDBECK barn door.

4.1 Wood Care

  • Cleaning: Wipe the wood surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the wood finish.
  • Protection: Spruce wood is durable, but it is recommended to apply a wood sealant, paint, or stain to protect it from moisture and wear, especially if installed in areas with high humidity.
  • Customization: The door comes unfinished, allowing you to paint or stain it any color you desire. Ensure the wood is clean and dry before applying any finish.
