Operating Instructions
Timekeeping
Your TIMEX Analog Watch TWEG19609 is designed for accurate time display. The hour, minute, and second hands continuously track time. The sub-dials on the watch face indicate additional functions such as a 24-hour display and a day/night indicator.
Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant up to 30 meters (3 ATM). This rating means the watch is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water. It is not suitable for swimming, showering, or diving. Avoid operating the crown or pushers when the watch is wet to prevent water intrusion.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
- To clean your watch, use a soft, dry cloth.
- For the stainless steel band, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the watch's finish or internal components.
2. Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by a Quartz movement requiring 1 AA battery (included). When the watch stops running or begins to lose time consistently, the battery may need replacement. It is highly recommended to have the battery replaced by a professional watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.
3. Storage
When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. Keeping it in its original packaging or a watch box can help protect it from dust and scratches.
Troubleshooting
- Watch Not Running:
Ensure the crown is fully pushed in. If the watch still does not run, the battery may need replacement. - Inaccurate Time:
If the watch is consistently fast or slow, try resetting the time as described in the Setup section. If the issue persists, the battery may be low, or the movement may require inspection by a professional. - Water Exposure:
If water appears inside the watch crystal, immediately take the watch to a qualified service center for inspection to prevent further damage to the movement.
