1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Hombasing HC3800 PRO High-Pressure Handheld Steam Cleaner. This powerful and versatile appliance is designed for efficient and chemical-free cleaning across various surfaces in your home and vehicle. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use to ensure safe and optimal operation.

2. Safety Instructions

  • Always wear protective gloves when operating the steam cleaner to prevent burns from hot steam.
  • Ensure all nozzles and extension rods are securely attached with the rubber gaskets in place to prevent water leakage during operation.
  • Do not direct steam at people, pets, or electrical appliances.
  • Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
  • Unplug the device from the power outlet before filling, emptying, or cleaning.
  • If only water sprays but no steam, it may be due to the pump being used for too long, causing the protection function to automatically stop heating. Turn off the machine and allow it to cool down before further use.
  • Each device is factory tested, so water marks in the inlet hose are normal and do not indicate a used or faulty product.

4. Setup

  1. Install Rubber Gasket: Before use, ensure the black rubber gasket is properly installed into the nozzle connection point. This prevents water leakage.
  2. Attach Nozzle/Accessory: Securely attach the desired cleaning nozzle or accessory (e.g., yellow nozzle, brushes, extension pole) to the steam gun. Ensure the yellow nozzle is installed for steam generation.
  3. Connect Steam Hose: Connect the steam hose firmly to the main unit. If it feels loose, turn it clockwise to tighten.
  4. Fill Water Tank: Open the top cover of the main unit and fill the water tank with up to 1200 ml of clean water. Do not overfill.

5. Operation

  1. Power On: Plug the power cable into a suitable electrical outlet. Press the power button on the touch panel to turn on the device.
  2. Adjust Steam Level: The steam cleaner features a 6-speed touch screen and handle button control. Use the '+' or '-' buttons on the touch panel or the handle to adjust the steam volume from 1 to 6 levels. The control screen will display the current setting. Higher levels provide greater steam pressure.
  3. Heating Time: The unit heats up quickly, typically taking 15-20 seconds to reach operating temperature (up to 229°F/105°C) and produce 4.5 BAR high-pressure steam.
  4. Begin Cleaning: Direct the steam nozzle towards the surface to be cleaned. For maximum cleaning effectiveness, keep the nozzle close to the surface. Note that steam reaches 100°C at the tip and cools rapidly with distance.
  5. Multi-Surface Cleaning: This steam cleaner is suitable for various surfaces including kitchen counters, stovetops, range hoods, bathroom tiles, toilets, windows, mirrors, glass tables, car interiors, and upholstery.

6. Maintenance

  • Empty Water Tank: After each cleaning session, always discard any remaining water from the tank.
  • Descaling: To prolong the machine's lifespan and prevent limescale buildup, run the steam cleaner for 5 to 10 minutes with clean water after several uses. This helps to flush out any mineral deposits from inside the machine and the steam hose.
  • Replace Rubber Rings: If the nozzle becomes loose or starts leaking after long-term use, replace the rubber ring with one of the included spare silicone washers.
  • Clean Accessories: Clean all brushes and nozzles after use to ensure optimal performance for future tasks.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Steam, Only Water Spray: If the device sprays only water and no steam, it may be due to the pump being used for an extended period, triggering the overheat protection function. Turn off the machine and allow it to cool down for a while before attempting to use it again.
  • Water Marks in Hose: It is normal to find small water marks in the inlet hose. This is a result of factory testing to ensure product quality and safety.
  • No Steam Generation: Ensure the yellow nozzle is correctly installed. Without it, steam will not be generated.
  • Water Leakage: Check that all rubber gaskets are properly installed and that the steam hose and nozzles are securely tightened.
