Key Features
Efficient Filtration System
The filter incorporates a multi-stage filtration system to ensure optimal water quality. This includes a sponge filtration system with two blue 20 PPI sponges and three yellow 25 PPI sponges for fine and coarse particle removal. An additional layer of bio-balls at the bottom enhances biological filtration, promoting stable water quality. A built-in 18W UV lamp helps maintain water clarity by controlling algae and harmful microorganisms.

Automatic Cleaning Function
The unit features an automatic cleaning mode for convenient maintenance. A function switch allows easy toggling between FILTER and CLEAN modes. In CLEAN mode, the internal motor automatically rotates the sponges for self-cleaning, indicated by a "beep" sound upon completion. A cleaning indicator buoy floats when sponge cleaning is needed.

Durable Construction
Constructed from high-quality ABS material, this pond filter is designed for durability and long-term outdoor use. It is heat-insulated, sun-resistant, and aging-resistant. The locking buckle structure and IP44 waterproof rating provide enhanced protection against environmental elements.
Multi-Size Adapters for Compatibility
The filter includes two black adapters and one transparent adapter to accommodate various hose sizes (3/4", 1", 1¼", and 1½"). These adapters are interchangeable, ensuring broad compatibility with different pond setups. For optimal performance and durability, the outlet hose should be at least one size larger than the inlet hose.

Setup and Installation
Proper setup is crucial for the optimal performance of your VIVOHOME pond filter. Follow these steps for installation:
- Placement: Position the filter on a stable, level surface near your pond. Ensure it is easily accessible for maintenance. The filter can be partially buried for aesthetic purposes, as shown in Figure 6.
- Hose Connection:
- Identify the inlet, outlet, and sewage exit ports on the filter. Clear symbols are provided for easy identification.
- Select the appropriate multi-size adapters for your hoses. Ensure a secure, watertight fit.
- Connect the pond pump (not included) to the filter's inlet port.
- Connect the outlet hose to direct filtered water back into the pond. Remember, the outlet hose should be at least one size larger than the inlet for better flow.
- Connect a hose to the sewage exit port for draining dirty water during cleaning cycles. This water can be used as fertilizer.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cord to a suitable outdoor-rated power outlet. Ensure the outlet is protected from water.
- UV Lamp Timer Setting: Set the UV lamp timer to your desired operating duration (0H, 12H, or 24H) using the timing switch. This helps extend the lamp's lifespan.

- The internal motor will automatically rotate to clean the sponges.
- A "beep" sound will indicate the completion of the cleaning cycle. Switch the function switch back to FILTER mode.
- The dirty water will be discharged through the sewage exit port.

The built-in 18W UV lamp has an estimated lifespan of 8000 hours. Replace the lamp when its effectiveness diminishes or it ceases to function. A separate lamp replacement guide and an extra lamp are included for your convenience.
- Step 1: Disconnect power to the filter. Remove the top cover by unscrewing the retaining screws.
- Step 2: Locate the lamp connection. Rotate and detach the connection nut to disconnect the lamp.
- Step 3: Carefully remove the old lamp from its holder. Install the new lamp, ensuring it is securely seated.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your VIVOHOME pond filter, consider the following common solutions:
- Reduced Water Flow: Check for blockages in hoses or the filter media. Ensure the pump is operating correctly and the filter sponges are clean.
- Cloudy Water: Verify that the filter is running continuously. Check the condition of the UV lamp and replace if necessary. Ensure regular sponge cleaning is performed.
- UV Lamp Not Lighting: Check power connections. Ensure the lamp is correctly installed and not at the end of its lifespan. Replace the lamp if it is faulty.
- Automatic Cleaning Not Activating: Ensure the function switch is correctly set to CLEAN mode. Check for any obstructions preventing the motor from rotating.
