5. Maintenance

5.1 Camera Care

The cameras are designed for outdoor use and are IP67 weatherproof. However, regular cleaning of the lens with a soft, damp cloth can help maintain optimal image clarity. Avoid using harsh chemicals.

5.2 NVR Maintenance

Ensure the NVR is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating. Periodically check for firmware updates through the NVR's system settings to ensure optimal performance and security.

5.3 Storage Management

The 1TB HDD provides ample storage. The NVR is configured to overwrite the oldest footage when the disk is full. You can back up important footage to an external USB drive or network storage if needed.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Video Output: Check HDMI/VGA cable connections to the monitor. Ensure the NVR is powered on.
  • Cameras Not Displaying: Verify Ethernet cable connections between cameras and NVR. Ensure cameras are receiving power (indicated by LEDs on the camera or NVR ports).
  • No Remote Access: Check NVR's network connection to the router. Ensure network settings are correct (DHCP enabled or static IP configured properly). Verify firewall settings on your router.
  • False Alarms: Adjust motion detection sensitivity and configure detection zones to exclude areas with frequent non-threatening movement (e.g., trees swaying). Utilize human/vehicle detection features.
  • Poor Image Quality: Clean camera lenses. Ensure cameras are not pointed directly into strong light sources.
