Setup
Initial Pairing
- Open the charging case. The earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode.
- On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), go to Bluetooth settings.
- Select "JLab Flex Open" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, you will hear an audio prompt confirming successful pairing.
For Android devices, Google Fast Pair offers an even more effortless connection. When you remove the earbuds from the case, a pop-up will appear on your supported Android device, allowing for quick Bluetooth connection.
JLab App Customization
Download the JLab App from the App Store or Google Play Store to unlock full customization options. The app allows you to:
- Customize touch controls for playback, calls, and voice assistant.

Operating Instructions
Wearing the Earbuds
The Flex Open Earbuds feature an ergonomic clip-on cuff design. Gently slide the earbud onto your ear, ensuring the speaker rests comfortably near your ear canal and the cuff securely clips around the outer ear. This design provides a stable fit without inserting directly into the ear canal, allowing for situational awareness.

Touch Controls
The earbuds feature intuitive touch controls. Refer to the JLab App for detailed customization of these functions. Common controls include:
- Play/Pause: Single tap on either earbud.
- Volume Up/Down: Tap and hold on the right/left earbud respectively.
- Next/Previous Track: Double tap on the right/left earbud respectively.

Bluetooth Multipoint
Connect your Flex Open Earbuds to two devices simultaneously. This allows for seamless transitions, such as listening to music on your laptop and instantly switching to answer a call on your mobile phone without re-pairing.
