1. Important Safety Information
Read and understand all instructions before operating this machine. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including heavy-duty gloves and eye protection, when operating the drain cleaner.
- Ensure the machine is connected to a grounded electrical outlet. The integrated Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) provides protection against electric shock. Test the GFCI before each use.
- Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
- Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
- Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.
- Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling, or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts.
- Always disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power Connection
Plug the machine into a standard 110V AC grounded outlet. Ensure the GFCI is functioning by pressing the 'Test' and 'Reset' buttons before each use.
5.2 Cable Feed Control
- CW/CCW Switch: Set the main rotation switch to '1' for forward (clockwise) or '2' for reverse (counter-clockwise). '0' is the off position.
- Air-activated Foot Switch: Press the foot switch to activate the motor and rotate the cable. Release to stop.
- Auto-Feed Mechanism: Use the tension knob and lever to control the automatic advancement or retraction of the cable into the pipe.
5.3 Drain Cleaning Procedure
- Insert the selected cutter and cable end into the drain opening.
- With the CW/CCW switch set to '1' (Forward), press the foot switch to start the motor.
- Engage the auto-feed mechanism to slowly advance the cable into the pipe. Guide the cable manually to prevent kinking.
- When the cable encounters a clog, allow it to 'stall and grind' for a short period to break up the obstruction. Do not force the cable.
- Once the clog is cleared, switch to '2' (Reverse) and use the auto-feed to retract the cable from the pipe.
- Clean the cable and cutters thoroughly after each use.
