5. Setup
The Baetaey Repeater WiFi Extender can be set up using two primary methods: WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) or via a web browser/mobile app.
5.1. Placement Guidelines
For optimal performance, place the extender halfway between your router and the Wi-Fi dead zone. Ensure the location is within the range of your router's existing Wi-Fi signal.

5.2. WPS Setup (Recommended for quick setup)
- Plug the extender into an electrical outlet near your router.
- Wait for the Power LED on the extender to turn solid blue.
- Press the WPS button on your router.
- Within two minutes, press the WPS button on the extender.
- The Wi-Fi LED on the extender should turn solid blue, indicating a successful connection.

5.3. Web Browser Setup
- Plug the extender into an electrical outlet.
- Connect your computer or mobile device to the extender's Wi-Fi network (e.g., "Baetaey_Extender"). No password is required initially.
- Open a web browser and enter the default IP address (usually 192.168.0.254 or check the label on the device) or the default web address (e.g., tplinkrepeater.net).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create a login password and select your existing Wi-Fi network to extend.
- Enter the password for your existing Wi-Fi network.
- Confirm settings and wait for the extender to reboot.
6. Operating Modes
The Baetaey Repeater WiFi Extender supports two main operating modes:
6.1. Repeater Mode (Default)
In Repeater Mode, the extender wirelessly connects to your existing router and amplifies its signal to areas with weak or no Wi-Fi coverage. This is ideal for extending the range of your current network.
6.2. Access Point (AP) Mode
In AP Mode, the extender connects to your wired network via an Ethernet cable and transforms your wired connection into a wireless access point. This is useful for adding Wi-Fi capability to a wired-only network or creating a new Wi-Fi network in a specific area.

7. Maintenance
- Firmware Updates: Regularly check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
- Restart: If the device is not functioning correctly, try restarting it by unplugging it from the power outlet for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in.
8. Troubleshooting
8.1. No Internet Access After Setup
- Ensure the extender is within the range of your main router.
- Verify that the Wi-Fi password entered during setup is correct.
- Try moving the extender closer to the main router.
- Restart both your router and the extender.
8.2. Weak Signal Strength
- Adjust the external antennas for better reception.
- Relocate the extender to a more central position between your router and the desired coverage area.
- Minimize physical obstructions (e.g., thick walls, metal objects) between the extender and your devices.

8.3. Unable to Access Web Management Page
- Ensure your device is connected to the extender's Wi-Fi network.
- Verify the IP address or web address entered in the browser.
- Clear your browser's cache and cookies, or try a different browser.
- Perform a factory reset on the extender if issues persist.
