Food Storage Tips

  • Use the removable baskets for organizing smaller items and frequently accessed foods.
  • Ensure food is properly sealed to prevent freezer burn and odor transfer.
  • Avoid overloading the freezer, as this can hinder air circulation and cooling efficiency.
  • The hovering hinge allows the door to stay open between 45° and 85°, making loading and unloading easier.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Always unplug the freezer before cleaning.
  • Clean the interior with a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Wipe dry thoroughly.
  • The exterior can be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild soap.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, sharp objects, or harsh chemicals, as they can damage surfaces.

Defrosting

Defrost the freezer when the ice layer reaches about 0.2 inches (5 mm) thick. Frequent defrosting improves efficiency.

  1. Unplug the freezer from the power outlet.
  2. Remove all food items and store them in another freezer or cooler.
  3. Open the freezer lid and remove the drain plug located at the bottom of the freezer. Place a shallow pan or towel underneath the drain to collect water.
  4. Allow the ice to melt naturally. You can speed up the process by placing bowls of hot water inside the freezer (do not use sharp objects to chip ice).
  5. Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly.
  6. Replace the drain plug, plug in the freezer, and allow it to cool for a few hours before returning food.
