4. Setup

4.1 Initial Preparation

Upon receiving your dotPod Max, ensure all components listed in the package contents are present.

4.2 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided USB-C charging cable. Connect the cable to the USB-C port on the device and a suitable power source. The high-resolution screen will indicate the charging status.

4.3 Filling the Pod

1. Remove the pod from the device.
2. Locate the filling port on the pod.
3. Carefully open the filling port and insert the nozzle of your e-liquid bottle.
4. Fill the pod with your desired e-liquid. Do not overfill.
5. Securely close the filling port.
6. Important: For the first fill, after filling the pod, wait 5 to 10 minutes to allow the e-liquid to fully saturate the coil before use. This prevents dry hits and extends coil life.

4.4 Removing Insulation Tape

Before inserting the pod into the device for the first time, ensure you remove any protective insulation tape located on the bottom of the pod. This tape prevents electrical contact during shipping.

5. Operating the Device

5.1 Power On/Off

Refer to the device's screen and button interface for specific power on/off instructions. Typically, this involves a series of rapid clicks on the main button.

5.2 Vaping Modes

The dotPod Max supports both manual puff activation (by pressing the fire button) and automatic puff activation (by simply inhaling from the mouthpiece). The device will automatically detect your preferred method.

5.3 Adjusting Airflow

The device features adjustable airflow. Locate the airflow control mechanism, usually a slider or rotating ring, and adjust it to your preferred draw tightness.

5.4 Output Adjustment

6. Maintenance

6.1 Pod Replacement

When the e-liquid tastes burnt or the vapor production decreases significantly, it is time to replace the pod. Simply pull out the old pod and insert a new one, ensuring it clicks securely into place.

6.2 Cleaning

Regularly clean the device, especially the pod connection area, to prevent e-liquid buildup and ensure optimal performance. Use a dry cloth or cotton swab. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.

6.3 O-Ring Maintenance

The included O-rings are spare parts for the pod. If you notice any leakage around the pod, inspect the O-rings for wear and replace them if necessary.

7. Troubleshooting

• No Vapor/Device Not Firing:
  • Check if the device is powered on.
  • Ensure the pod is correctly inserted and making proper contact.
  • Verify the battery level and charge if necessary.
  • Ensure the insulation tape has been removed from the bottom of the pod.
• Burnt Taste or Throat Irritation:
  • This indicates the coil is burnt or dry. Replace the pod immediately.
  • Ensure the pod is sufficiently filled with e-liquid.
  • Allow 5-10 minutes for the e-liquid to saturate the coil after filling a new pod.
• Leaking:
  • Ensure the pod is securely seated in the device.
  • Check the filling port seal and ensure it is closed properly.
  • Inspect the O-rings for damage and replace if needed.
  • Avoid overfilling the pod.
• Device Not Charging:
  • Ensure the USB-C cable is properly connected to both the device and the power source.
  • Try a different USB-C cable or power adapter.
  • Clean the charging port for any debris.
