Introduction

The Stelo Glucose Biosensor System provides continuous glucose monitoring for adults aged 18 and older who are not on insulin. It offers 24/7 glucose tracking and personalized insights to help users understand their glucose patterns and how diet, activity, and sleep affect their levels. This system is designed to help detect normal, low, or high glucose levels, aiding in better lifestyle decisions. The Stelo Glucose Biosensor is intended for adults 18+ not on insulin. Do not use if on insulin, on dialysis, or if you have problematic hypoglycemia.

Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your Stelo Glucose Biosensor:

  1. Prepare the Application Site: Choose a suitable area on the back of your upper arm. Ensure the skin is clean and dry.
  2. Apply the Biosensor: Use the provided applicator to insert the small, flexible wire of the biosensor under the skin. This process is designed to be painless.
  3. Secure with Overpatch: Apply the overpatch around the biosensor to ensure it stays securely in place for the entire wear time.
  4. Pair with Stelo App: Download and open the Stelo app on your iOS or Android smartphone. Scan the QR code on the applicator or manually enter the provided number to pair the biosensor with your device.
  5. Warm-up Period: After application and pairing, the biosensor will undergo a 30-minute warm-up period before it begins transmitting glucose readings.

The biosensor is a small wearable device that monitors your glucose levels 24/7 and sends them to your smartphone. Smart device sold separately.

Operating Instructions

The Stelo app provides comprehensive data and insights to help you manage your glucose levels:

  • Real-time Readings: The app displays your current glucose values and the direction your glucose is heading. Readings are updated every 15 minutes.
  • Historical Data: Access up to 180 days of in-app glucose history. You can view your data over 1, 3, 6, 12, or 24-hour periods, or review trends over 7, 14, or 30 days.
  • Spike & Pattern Detection: The app identifies glucose spikes and patterns, helping you understand how different factors impact your glucose levels.
  • Personalized Insights: Gain insights into how your glucose reacts to food, activity, and sleep.
  • Smart Logging: Manually add events such as meals (including carb intake), activities (duration and intensity), and general notes to correlate with your glucose data.
  • In-App Learning: Utilize the app's learning resources for healthier habits and better glucose management.
  • Seamless Syncing: The Stelo app seamlessly syncs with Apple Health, Google Health Connect, and Oura, allowing you to integrate your glucose data with other health tracking information.

Seamless syncing with Apple Health, Google Health Connect, and Oura allows you to see your glucose data in your health tracking apps, and see exercise and sleep data from synced apps in Stelo.

Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Stelo Biosensor:

  • Overpatch Application: Always apply the provided overpatch to keep the biosensor secure on your arm.
  • Initial Dry Period: Keep the patch dry and sweat-free for the first 12 hours after application.
  • Drying After Water Exposure: If the patch gets wet, gently pat it dry. The biosensor is fully waterproof up to 8 feet for up to 24 hours when properly installed.
  • Patch Adhesion: If the patch begins to peel, trim the edges and secure it with medical tape to maintain adhesion.
  • Storage: Store your sensors at room temperature or in your refrigerator, between 36°F and 86°F (2°C and 30°C). Do not store in the freezer.
