4. Setup / Assembly Instructions

Assembly is estimated to take 1 hour with 2 or more people. While possible to assemble alone, having an extra person will significantly ease the process, especially when aligning the side rails.

Step-by-Step Assembly

1. Attach Legs to Headboard/Footboard: Secure the four main bed legs to the headboard and footboard panels using the provided bolts and washers. Do not fully tighten the bolts until the entire frame is assembled.
2. Connect Side Rails: Attach the side rails to the headboard and footboard assemblies. Ensure the internal support ledges on the side rails are facing inwards and upwards to support the wooden slats. Secure with bolts, but do not fully tighten yet.
3. Install Center Support Beam: Place the long center support beam down the middle of the assembled frame. Attach the four center support legs to this beam.
4. Lay Out Wooden Slats: Unroll the pre-connected wooden slats across the frame, ensuring they rest securely on the support ledges of the side rails and the center support beam. The slats are designed for easy and quick placement.
5. Secure Slats (Optional but Recommended): Use the provided screws to secure each wooden slat to the side rails. While not strictly necessary for stability, this step helps to minimize noise and prevent slats from shifting. A power drill is highly recommended for this step as there are no pre-drilled holes on the frame for these screws.
6. Final Tightening: Once all components are in place and aligned, fully tighten all bolts and screws.

5. Operating Instructions

Mattress Placement

This bed frame is designed to be used without a box spring. Simply place your Queen size mattress directly onto the wooden slats. The mattress will sit on top of the frame, not recessed within it.

Underbed Storage

The bed frame provides approximately 12 inches of underbed space, with a clearance of 7.3 inches from the floor to the bottom of the side rails. This ample space is ideal for storing small boxes or allowing robot vacuums to pass through effortlessly for easy cleaning.

6. Maintenance and Care

Cleaning

Wipe the bed frame with a damp cloth to clean. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the wood finish.

Longevity

Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary to maintain the bed frame's stability and prevent squeaking. Avoid excessive force or jumping on the bed to prolong its lifespan.
