4. Setup
4.1 Physical Installation
- Choose a Location: Select an outdoor location that provides the desired viewing angle and is within Wi-Fi range. Ensure the mounting surface is sturdy enough to support the camera.
- Mounting:
- Use the provided mounting template to mark drill holes on the wall or ceiling.
- Drill holes and insert the anchors.
- Secure the camera's mounting base to the surface using the provided screws.
- Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the camera and plug it into a suitable power outlet. Ensure the connection is secure and protected from weather elements using the waterproof connector if necessary.
4.2 App Setup and Network Connection
- Download the Imou Life App: Search for "Imou Life" in your mobile device's app store (iOS or Android) and download the application.
- Create an Account: Open the Imou Life app and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account or log in if you already have one.
- Add Device:
- Tap the "+" icon in the top right corner of the app to add a new device.
- Scan the QR code located on the camera or its packaging.
- Follow the in-app prompts to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz.
- Once connected, the camera's indicator light will turn solid green, and you will see the camera feed in the app.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Live View and Monitoring
Access the live video feed from both the fixed and PT lenses through the Imou Life app. You can switch between views or see them simultaneously depending on the app interface. Use the pan and tilt controls within the app to adjust the PT lens's viewing angle.
5.2 Smart Detection Settings
Configure detection settings to receive alerts for human and vehicle movement:
- Navigate to the camera settings in the Imou Life app.
- Select "Detection Settings" or "Smart Detection."
- Enable Human Detection and Vehicle Detection as needed.
- Adjust sensitivity levels to minimize false alarms.

5.3 Two-Way Audio

- From the live view in the Imou Life app, tap the microphone icon to speak through the camera's speaker.
- Tap the speaker icon to listen to audio from the camera's microphone.

5.4 Night Vision Modes
