7. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Camera does not power on. Low or dead batteries; incorrect battery polarity; power switch in 'OFF' position. Replace batteries with fresh ones, ensuring correct polarity. Check if the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
Camera is not recording. SD card full or corrupted; incorrect mode selected; PIR sensitivity too low; batteries low. Format or replace the SD card. Ensure the camera is in Photo, Video, or Photo+Video mode. Increase PIR sensitivity. Replace batteries.
Poor image/video quality. Dirty lens; low light conditions; incorrect resolution settings. Clean the camera lens. Ensure adequate lighting or adjust night vision settings. Verify image/video resolution settings are at their highest.
False triggers or no triggers. PIR sensitivity too high (false triggers) or too low (no triggers); obstructions in detection zone. Adjust PIR sensitivity. Clear any branches or objects that might cause false triggers. Ensure no obstructions block the sensor.
Water ingress / Not waterproof. Battery compartment or housing not properly sealed. Ensure all latches and seals are firmly closed before outdoor deployment. The IP66 rating protects against strong jets of water, not submersion.
