2. Add Compost Starter: Carefully pour the entire bag of Reencle Compost Starter 2.0 into the main compartment. This starter contains essential microbes for the decomposition process.
3. Add Water: Pour 60 ounces (approximately 1.8 liters) of clean water into the compartment, ensuring it moistens the compost starter evenly.
4. Add Compost Booster: Open and pour the entire contents of the Compost Booster pack into the compartment. This booster enhances microbial activity.
5. Initial Activation: Close the lid and allow the unit to sit for 3 to 6 hours for the microbes to activate. The composter is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions

The Reencle Gravity Electric Composter is designed for user-friendly operation. Follow these steps to effectively compost your food waste.

1. Adding Food Scraps: To add food waste, either press the 'Open' button on the control panel or gently wave your foot in front of the foot sensor located at the bottom front of the unit. The lid will open automatically.
2. Prepare Food Waste: For optimal and rapid decomposition, break down larger food scraps (e.g., whole lettuce heads, large fruit pieces) into smaller, manageable pieces before adding them. This allows the microbes to work more efficiently.
3. Compostable Items: The composter can process meats, dairy, fruits, vegetables, eggshells, and coffee grounds. Avoid adding non-compostable items or excessively large, hard items.
4. Close the Lid: The lid will automatically close after a few seconds. Ensure it is fully closed for proper operation.
5. Daily Capacity: The composter can handle up to 3.3 lbs (1.5 kg) of food waste daily, converting it into compost within 2-24 hours.
