Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your vacuum cleaner.
Replacing the Dust Bag
The Prolux Phantom uses 5-layer sealed HEPA bags. Replace the dust bag when the 'Full Bag Indicator' is activated or when suction power noticeably decreases.
- Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the power outlet.
- Open the dust bag compartment.
- Carefully remove the full dust bag, ensuring the opening is sealed to contain dust.
- Insert a new Prolux 5-layer HEPA bag, making sure it fits securely into the bag holder and seals properly.
- Close the dust bag compartment firmly.
Cleaning the HEPA Filter
The sealed HEPA filtration system traps 99.97% of dust and allergens. Periodically check and clean the HEPA filter as recommended.
- Unplug the vacuum cleaner.
- Locate the HEPA filter compartment, typically near the exhaust.
- Remove the HEPA filter. Tap it gently over a waste bin to dislodge accumulated dust. Do not wash the HEPA filter unless specified by the manufacturer.
- Reinsert the clean HEPA filter and close the compartment.

Cleaning the Brush Roll
Hair and debris can become entangled in the brush roll, reducing cleaning effectiveness. Clean regularly.
- Unplug the vacuum cleaner.
- Lay the vacuum flat to access the underside.
- Using scissors or a seam ripper, carefully cut and remove any hair or threads wrapped around the brush roll.
- Ensure the brush roll spins freely.
