Care and Cleaning
- Wipe the watch with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture.
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or strong magnetic fields.
- Do not use chemical cleaners, as they may damage the watch's resin components.
Battery Replacement
The Casio AE-1600H-1AV is powered by a CR2032 battery, offering an approximate 10-year lifespan. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.
Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery.
- Time is incorrect: Re-set the time and date following the instructions in the 'Setting the Time and Date' section. Ensure the 12/24-hour format is set correctly.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a frozen or error state. Try pressing all buttons firmly. If the issue persists, a battery replacement or professional inspection may be required.
- Water inside the watch: Immediately take the watch to a qualified service center. Do not attempt to open the watch yourself, as this will void the warranty and may cause further damage.
