Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the griddle from its packaging. Inspect for any damage.
  2. Positioning: Place the griddle on a flat, stable surface. Ensure adequate clearance from combustible materials.
  3. Adjust Leveling Feet: The griddle features adjustable leveling feet. Rotate these feet as needed to achieve a stable and level cooking surface, especially on uneven terrain.
  4. Install Rear Grease Management System: Locate the stowaway Rear Grease Management system components. Assemble and attach the grease cup to the designated slot at the rear of the griddle. Ensure it is securely in place to collect cooking drippings.
  5. Propane Connection: Connect a 1 lb propane cylinder directly to the griddle's regulator. For use with larger propane tanks or Propane-Chain units, a Propane-Chain Adapter Hose (sold separately) is required. Operating Instructions

  1. Pre-heating: Open the griddle lid. Turn the control knobs to the 'LIGHT' position and push them in to ignite the burners. Once lit, adjust to the desired heat setting. Allow the griddle to preheat for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Temperature Control: The griddle features dual heat zones, allowing for different cooking temperatures on each side. Adjust the individual control knobs to achieve the desired heat for various foods.
  3. Cooking: Apply a small amount of cooking oil to the non-stick ceramic titanium-coated griddle top before placing food.
  4. Utensil Compatibility: To preserve the non-stick coating, use only non-metal utensils (e.g., silicone, wood, plastic). Do not use metal utensils or Blackstone orange scrub pads.
  5. After Cooking: Turn off the gas supply at the propane tank and then turn the griddle control knobs to the 'OFF' position.

Maintenance

  1. Cleaning the Griddle Top: After each use, once the griddle has cooled, scrape off any food residue with a non-metal scraper. Wipe the surface clean with a damp cloth. For stubborn residue, use a mild soap and water solution, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners or pads that could damage the non-stick coating.
  2. Cleaning the Grease Management System: Regularly empty and clean the grease cup. Wash with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
  3. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth.
  4. Storage: Ensure the griddle is clean and dry before storing. Close the lid and secure the latches. The briefcase-like design with a carry handle allows for convenient transport and storage. Store in a dry, protected area.
