Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Apple Watch SE (2nd Generation, 2024). The Apple Watch SE offers core features to support motivation, activity tracking, health monitoring, and safety. It features an LTPO OLED Retina display with up to 1000 nits brightness, irregular rhythm notifications, low cardio fitness notifications, sleep tracking, and the Vitals app for heart rate, respiratory rate, and sleep duration. Safety features include Fall Detection and Crash Detection. The device is water resistant up to 50 meters and provides up to 18 hours of battery life under normal use.

Setup

1. Charging the Apple Watch

Before initial use, ensure your Apple Watch is fully charged. Connect the magnetic charging cable to the back of the watch and plug the USB-C end into a compatible power adapter (sold separately) or a USB-C port on a computer. The watch will display a charging indicator.

2. Attaching the Band

Slide the band into the slots on the Apple Watch until you hear a click. Ensure both ends of the band are securely attached. To remove, press the band release buttons on the back of the watch and slide the band out.

3. Pairing with iPhone

The Apple Watch SE requires an iPhone Xs or later running iOS 17 or later for full functionality. To pair:

  1. Turn on your Apple Watch by pressing and holding the side button until the Apple logo appears.
  2. Bring your iPhone near your Apple Watch. A pairing screen will appear on your iPhone. Tap "Continue".
  3. Position your iPhone so that the Apple Watch appears in the viewfinder on your iPhone's screen.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions on both devices to complete the pairing process, including setting up a passcode and choosing preferences.
