Setup

1. Unboxing

Carefully remove the lighter from its packaging. Inspect the lighter for any visible damage. If any damage is present, do not use the lighter and contact customer support.

2. Fueling Instructions (Butane)

The Ronson Varaflame Mini Lighter uses butane gas. For optimal performance, use high-quality butane fuel.

  1. Ensure the lighter is completely cool before refueling.
  2. Invert the lighter, exposing the refill valve located at the bottom.
  3. Hold the butane fuel can vertically with the nozzle pointed downwards.
  4. Insert the butane nozzle firmly into the lighter's refill valve.
  5. Press down for approximately 5-10 seconds. You may hear a slight hiss as the gas enters the lighter.
  6. Repeat the process 2-3 times to ensure a full fill.
  7. Wait at least 2-3 minutes after refueling before attempting to ignite the lighter. This allows the gas to stabilize and reach room temperature.

Note: Overfilling can cause gas leakage and potential hazards. Do not attempt to ignite immediately after refueling.

3. Flint Replacement

The flint is a consumable part and will need replacement when the lighter no longer produces a spark.

  1. Locate the flint screw at the bottom of the lighter, usually near the fuel valve.
  2. Unscrew the flint screw carefully. A spring and the old flint will be released.
  3. Remove the old flint.
  4. Insert a new Ronson-compatible flint into the flint tube.
  5. Reinsert the spring and screw the flint screw back into place, ensuring it is snug but not overtightened.
  6. Test the lighter to ensure a strong spark is produced.

Operating Instructions

1. Ignition

  1. Open the lighter cap.
  2. Press down firmly on the ignition lever. This action will release gas and strike the flint, creating a spark to ignite the flame.
  3. Release the ignition lever to extinguish the flame and close the cap.

2. Flame Adjustment

The Ronson Varaflame Mini Lighter features an adjustable flame. The adjustment mechanism is typically located at the bottom of the lighter, near the fuel valve.

  • Use a small screwdriver or a similar tool to turn the adjustment screw.
  • Turn towards the '+' symbol for a larger flame.
  • Turn towards the '-' symbol for a smaller flame.
  • Adjust gradually and test the flame height after each adjustment.

3. Fuel Gauge Window

This lighter is equipped with a fuel gauge window, allowing you to monitor the butane level. Periodically check the window to determine when a refill is necessary.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

  • Regularly wipe the exterior of the lighter with a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints and dirt.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
  • Periodically clean the flint wheel area with a small brush to remove any flint dust buildup, which can impede sparking.

2. Storage

When not in use, store the lighter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure the lighter is fully extinguished and the cap is closed before storage.
