Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your DOCKCASE SSD Enclosure, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior of the enclosure. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the enclosure in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Handling: Handle the enclosure with care to prevent drops or impacts, which could damage internal components.
- Ventilation: The enclosure features ventilation holes for heat dissipation. Ensure these are not blocked during use. Avoid contact with moisture or water to prevent short circuits.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your DOCKCASE SSD Enclosure, consider the following:
- SSD Temperature: When idle, an SSD temperature below 60°C is normal. During file transfer, staying under 80°C is within the normal range. The SSD enclosure screen displays the SSD chip temperature, while the enclosure's outer shell is usually 20-30°C lower than the chip.
- SSD Not Recognized: If your SSD is not recognized after installing it into the SSD enclosure, please check whether it is a brand-new SSD. If it is new, it needs to be initialized and partitioned before installation and use. Also, refer to the compatibility list on the product page to check if your SSD is supported. If your SSD is not listed, we recommend verifying with DockCase support.
- Enclosure Restarts/Blinks Unstably: If the SSD enclosure keeps restarting or blinking unstably after connecting to a mobile phone, it is usually due to insufficient power supply. We recommend connecting an auxiliary power source to the 15W Auxiliary Power Port or the 100W PD Port (if applicable to your model) before testing again.
- Abnormal Phone Input Power: If the phone's input power becomes abnormal after connecting an external power source to the 100W PD port, please check whether your charger's output power supports the PD protocol. If it does not, try using a different charger and test again.
