5. Setup

5.1. Powering On

5.3. Focus and Keystone Correction

After placing the projector, adjust the image for clarity and shape:

  • Electric Focus: Use the focus control (usually a button on the remote or projector) to sharpen the image until it is clear.
  • Electric Keystone Correction: If the projected image appears trapezoidal (wider at the top or bottom), use the keystone correction function to adjust it into a perfect rectangle. This feature ensures distortion-free images from various angles.

6. Operating the Projector

6.1. Basic Navigation

Use the included remote control to navigate the projector's menu and settings. The remote allows for quick adjustments to image, sound, and input sources.

6.2. Connecting Devices

The Sainyer Mini Projector Q100 offers multiple wired connectivity options:

  • HDMI: Connect TV sticks (e.g., Fire TV Stick, Roku), gaming consoles (e.g., PS4), laptops, or other HDMI-enabled devices using the provided HDMI cable. An HDMI extender may be needed for some TV sticks due to their shape.
  • USB: Insert a USB flash drive to play local media files (videos, photos, music). For wired screen mirroring with iOS devices, an additional Lightning-to-HDMI adapter is required (not included). The projector does not support direct USB mirroring for iOS without this adapter.
  • AUX (3.5mm Jack): Connect external speakers or headphones for enhanced audio.

6.3. Audio Settings

The projector features a built-in high-quality speaker. For a richer audio experience, connect external speakers via the AUX port. Important: If you experience no sound or distorted sound, please ensure that Dolby sound effects are turned off on your connected device, as the projector does not support Dolby audio.

6.4. Image Settings

Adjust the following settings via the projector's menu to optimize your viewing experience:

  • Contrast: Controls the difference between light and dark areas.
  • Brightness: Adjusts the overall luminance of the image.

8. Troubleshooting
