1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the BRANO 30-inch Under Cabinet Range Hood. This appliance is designed to provide efficient ventilation for your kitchen, removing smoke, grease, and odors. It features advanced control options including voice, gesture, and touch, along with a powerful 900 CFM motor and adjustable LED lighting. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and operation to ensure proper use and maintenance.

2. Safety Information

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, observe the following:

Installation must be performed by a qualified technician in accordance with all applicable codes and standards.
Ensure the power supply is disconnected before servicing or cleaning the unit.
This range hood is intended for general ventilating use only. Do not use to exhaust hazardous or explosive materials.
Clean grease filters frequently. Grease accumulated on filters can ignite.
Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boil-overs cause smoking and greasy spill-overs that may ignite.
Always turn on the range hood when cooking at high heat or when flaming foods.
Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully unpack the range hood and all accessories. Inspect for any shipping damage. Keep all packaging materials until you are satisfied with the product.

4.2 Removing Baffle Filters

Before installation or for cleaning, the baffle filters can be easily removed. Locate the latch on each filter, push it inward, and pull the filter down and out.

4.3 Venting Options

This range hood offers three venting options to suit various kitchen configurations:

6-inch Round Top Venting: Utilizes the circular opening on the top of the unit.
9.7" x 3.2" Rectangular Top Venting: Uses the rectangular opening on the top, requiring the provided plate adaptor.
9.7" x 3.2" Rectangular Rear Venting: Uses the rectangular opening on the back of the unit.

An aluminum exhaust pipe is required for ducted mode and is included in the package.

4.4 Dimensions and Clearance

Ensure adequate space and clearance for installation. The product dimensions are 5.9"D x 29.5"W x 15.7"H. Minimum ceiling height is 24 inches, maximum is 30 inches from the cooking surface.

5. Operating Instructions

The BRANO range hood offers multiple control methods for convenience.

5.1 Touch Control

The front panel features touch-sensitive buttons for direct control:

Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
Speed Up/Down: Adjusts the fan speed (F1 to F4).
Light Button: Toggles the LED lights on/off and adjusts brightness.
Delay Shutdown: Activates the delay shutdown timer.
Timer: Sets an adjustable timer for operation.

5.2 Gesture Control

Wave your hand in front of the control panel to operate the fan:

Wave Right: Increases fan speed.
Wave Left: Decreases fan speed.
Stop Work: A specific gesture can stop the fan.

5.3 Voice Control

Activate the range hood and its functions using voice commands. The system responds to specific phrases:

"Hi Andy, Power on!" to turn on the unit.
"Speed 1" / "Speed 2" / "Speed 3" / "Speed 4" to adjust fan speed.
"Light on" / "Light off" to control the LED lights.
"Delay Shutdown" to activate the delay function.
"Power off" to turn off the unit.

5.4 Fan Speed Recommendations

The 900 CFM motor offers four speed modes suitable for various cooking activities:

300 CFM (Low Speed): Ideal for stewing or light cooking.
420 CFM (Mid Speed): Suitable for roasting.
550 CFM (Mid-High Speed): Recommended for frying.
900 CFM (High Speed): Best for stir-frying or heavy smoke/odor production.

5.5 Adjustable LED Lighting

The range hood is equipped with two adjustable 3W 4000K LED lights to illuminate your cooking area. Use the light button on the touch panel or voice commands to control them.

5.6 Delay Shutdown Function

The 3-minute delay shutdown feature allows the fan to continue operating for a short period after cooking to ensure all residual smoke and odors are cleared from the kitchen. This can be activated via touch or voice control.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning Baffle Filters

The premium baffle filters are dishwasher-friendly for easy cleaning. Regular cleaning of the filters is essential to maintain optimal performance and prevent grease buildup.

Remove the baffle filters as described in Section 4.2.
Place the filters in a dishwasher or wash them by hand with warm, soapy water.
Ensure filters are completely dry before reinstalling.

6.2 Cleaning the Range Hood Body

The stainless steel body with rust-proof black coating can be cleaned with a wet cloth and warm water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could damage the finish.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your BRANO range hood, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
Fan does not turn on.	No power supply; unit unplugged; circuit breaker tripped.	Check power connection; reset circuit breaker.
Low suction power.	Clogged grease filters; obstruction in ductwork; incorrect fan speed.	Clean or replace filters; check ductwork for blockages; increase fan speed.
Excessive noise during operation.	Loose parts; improper installation; foreign object in fan; ductwork issues.	Ensure all parts are secure; verify proper installation; inspect fan for obstructions; check ductwork for kinks or leaks.
