1. Product Overview

The OOWOLF LED Flashlight (Model FL1) is a versatile, super bright, and compact rechargeable flashlight designed for various applications including camping, hiking, daily use, and emergency situations. This flashlight is equipped with 5 LED beads, providing a super bright output of up to 250 lumens. Its durable construction and IPX5 waterproof rating ensure reliable performance even in challenging weather conditions. The integrated Type-C charging port allows for easy and convenient recharging.

3. Setup and Initial Use

3.1 Charging the Flashlight

Before first use, fully charge the flashlight. The OOWOLF LED Flashlight uses a Type-C charging port for convenient power input.

  • Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the flashlight's charging port.
  • Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, power bank, computer USB port).
  • The charging indicator light will show red during charging.
  • Once fully charged (approximately 1.5 hours), the indicator light will turn green.

3.2 Unlocking the Flashlight (First-Time Use)

For first-time use, the flashlight may be in a locked state to prevent accidental activation during shipping. To unlock:

  • Press and hold the power button for more than one second.
  • The flashlight will unlock and return to normal operation.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off and Mode Switching

The flashlight features 7 lighting modes. A single press of the button cycles through the modes, and a long press turns the flashlight off or activates the lock function.

  • To Turn On: Short press the power button. The flashlight will turn on in the last used white light mode (due to memory function) or moonlight mode if it was the last mode.
  • To Cycle Modes: Short press the power button repeatedly to cycle through the following sequence: Moonlight → White Light Low → White Light Medium → White Light High → Strobe → Red Light → Beacon.
  • To Turn Off: Single press the power button to turn off the flashlight from any mode.
  • Memory Function: The flashlight memorizes the last used white light mode (Low, Medium, High). Strobe and Beacon modes are not memorized.
  • Lock Button State: While the flashlight is off, press and hold the button for approximately 2 seconds until the moonlight goes out to enter the lock button state. This prevents accidental activation. Repeat the unlock procedure (Section 3.2) to exit this state.

4.2 Using the Soft Light Cover

The included soft light cover can be attached to the flashlight to diffuse the light, transforming it into a gentle night light or reading light.

  • Align the soft light cover with the top of the flashlight.
  • Gently push the cover onto the flashlight until it is securely in place.
  • To remove, gently pull the cover off.

5. Installation and Carrying Methods

5.1 Magnetic Attachment

The flashlight features a strong magnet on its bottom, allowing it to be securely attached to any ferrous metal surface. This is ideal for hands-free operation in workshops, during auto repairs, or as a temporary light source.

For non-metal surfaces, two 3M metal sheets are included. You can peel off the adhesive backing and stick a metal sheet to a desired surface (e.g., wall, cabinet) to create a magnetic attachment point for the flashlight.

5.2 Clip-on and Lanyard Options

The flashlight is designed for easy portability and hands-free use with its integrated clip and lanyard holes.

  • Clip-on: Use the sturdy clip on the back to attach the flashlight to shirt collars, jacket pockets, backpacks, belts, or other gear.
  • Lanyard: Thread a lanyard (included) through the designated holes for secure carrying around your wrist or neck, or to hang it from a hook.

6. Maintenance and Care

6.1 Cleaning

To maintain the flashlight's performance and appearance, clean it regularly:

  • Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish.
  • Ensure the charging port is free of dust and debris.

6.2 Waterproofing (IPX5)

The OOWOLF LED Flashlight has an IPX5 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for use in rainy or snowy weather.

  • Do not submerge the flashlight in water.
  • After exposure to water, wipe the flashlight dry before charging.

6.3 Battery Care

The flashlight uses a built-in rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. To prolong battery life:

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Recharge the flashlight when the battery indicator shows low power.
  • Store the flashlight in a cool, dry place if not used for extended periods, with the battery partially charged.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your OOWOLF LED Flashlight, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
