1. Overview

2. Setup

2.1 Setting the Time and Date

  1. Pull out the crown: Gently pull the crown (located on the right side of the watch case) to position 2 for time setting, or position 1 for date setting.
  2. Set the date (if applicable): If your watch has a date display, rotate the crown in one direction (usually clockwise) to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM to prevent damage to the movement.
  3. Set the time: Pull the crown out to position 2. Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Ensure the AM/PM is correctly set if your watch has a 24-hour sub-dial.
  4. Push in the crown: Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into its original position to start the watch.

2.2 Adjusting the Silicone Band

The black silicone band is designed for a comfortable, customized fit. To adjust, locate the buckle and the series of holes on the strap. Select the hole that provides a snug yet comfortable fit on your wrist. The tang buckle mechanism allows for easy adjustment.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Using the Chronograph Function

The chronograph function allows you to measure elapsed time independently of the main time display. Your Fossil Machine Chronograph features a multi-layered dial with sub-dials for this purpose.

  1. Start: Press the top pusher (button A) to start the chronograph. The chronograph second hand will begin to move.
  2. Stop: Press the top pusher (button A) again to stop the chronograph. The elapsed time will be indicated by the chronograph hands on the sub-dials.
  3. Reset: Press the bottom pusher (button B) to reset the chronograph hands to their zero positions.

Note: Refer to the specific markings on your watch dial for the functions of each sub-dial (e.g., seconds, minutes, 24-hour display).

4. Maintenance

4.1 Water Resistance

Your watch is water resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming and showering. It is not suitable for diving, snorkeling, or high-impact water sports. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.

4.2 Cleaning Your Watch

To maintain the appearance of your watch:

  • Wipe the case and crystal with a soft, damp cloth.
  • For the silicone band, use mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch's finish.
