5. Setup
Before operating the tester, ensure all connections are made correctly and safely.
- Power Connection: Connect a stable 12V DC power supply to the '+12V' and '0V' terminals on the board. Observe polarity. The power indicator light (green LED) should illuminate upon successful power connection.
- Op-Amp Insertion: Carefully insert the operational amplifier chip you wish to test into the appropriate socket (Mono, Dual, or Quad) on the board. Ensure the chip's orientation (pin 1) matches the socket's marking.
- Output Connection (Optional): For detailed waveform analysis, connect an oscilloscope to the 'OUT+' and 'OUT-' terminals.

6. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to operate the Operational Amplifier Tester:
- Power On: Ensure the 12V DC power supply is connected. The green power indicator LED should be lit.
- Insert Op-Amp: Place the op-amp to be tested into the correct socket (Mono, Dual, or Quad) with proper orientation.
- Activate Test Signal: Press the 'SIGNAL' button (red button) to initiate the test signal. The 'ON' LED will light up.
- Select Test Frequency: Use the 'HI' and 'LOW' buttons to select the desired test frequency.
- HI: High-frequency square wave signal (e.g., 200KHz) for testing high-speed op-amps.
- LOW: Low-frequency square wave signal (e.g., 10Hz) for general testing.
- Observe Working Lights: The red and green 'Working Light' LEDs provide visual feedback. For high-speed op-amps, the red LED should synchronize with the green LED, appearing constantly on at high frequencies (200KHz) or flashing at low frequencies (10Hz) if the op-amp is functioning correctly.
- Static Current Test: To measure static current, connect a multimeter to the 'Static Current Test' terminals. This allows for understanding the op-amp's power consumption characteristics.
- Oscilloscope Connection (Optional): If connected, observe the output waveform on the oscilloscope to analyze amplification and conversion rate.
- Power Off: After testing, press the 'OFF' button to deactivate the test signal and disconnect the power supply.

7. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable operation of your tester.
- Cleaning: Keep the board clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid using liquids or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Store the tester in a dry, cool environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Handling: Handle the board by its edges to avoid touching components, which can cause damage or introduce static discharge.
- Power Supply: Always use a regulated 12V DC power supply to prevent damage from overvoltage or unstable power.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Operational Amplifier Tester, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Power Indicator Light:
- Check if the 12V DC power supply is correctly connected and functioning.
- Verify the polarity of the power connection.
- Working Lights Not Responding:
- Ensure the op-amp chip is correctly inserted into the appropriate socket and fully seated.
- Confirm that the 'SIGNAL' button has been pressed and the 'ON' LED is lit.
- The op-amp might be faulty or incompatible with the selected test.
- Incorrect or Unstable Readings:
- Ensure the op-amp is securely seated in its socket.
- Check for any loose connections or damaged components on the board.
- Verify the test frequency selection (HI/LOW) is appropriate for the op-amp being tested.
- Difficulty Differentiating Op-Amp Types:
- Refer to the supported models list in Section 2 to ensure compatibility.
- Use the static current test terminals and an oscilloscope (if available) for more detailed analysis to aid in differentiation.
