5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Programming ON/OFF Times

The MT812L allows for multiple ON/OFF programs over a 7-day cycle. The exact number of programs is typically indicated in the timer's specifications or on the device itself.

  1. Press the Menu button once to enter program setting mode. The display will show "1 ON" (Program 1 ON time).
  2. Use the '+' button to set the desired hour and minute for the first ON event. Press ok to confirm.
  3. Next, set the day(s) for this program. You can select individual days, weekdays, weekends, or all 7 days. Press ok to confirm.
  4. The display will then show "1 OFF" (Program 1 OFF time). Repeat steps 2 and 3 to set the OFF time and day(s).
  5. Continue pressing Menu to cycle through "2 ON", "2 OFF", and so on, setting all desired programs.
  6. After setting all programs, press Menu until the display returns to the current time. The timer is now programmed.

5.2. Astronomical Function

The astronomical function automatically adjusts ON/OFF times based on sunrise and sunset, calculated from your geographical location. This feature is ideal for lighting control.

  • To activate or adjust astronomical settings, navigate through the Menu options until you find "ASTRO" or similar.
  • You may need to input your geographical coordinates (latitude/longitude) or select a region. Refer to the on-screen prompts.
  • Confirm settings with the ok button.

Note: Specific steps for astronomical settings may vary slightly. Consult the on-screen menu for precise navigation.

5.3. Manual Override

To temporarily override the programmed schedule, press the ok button while in normal operating mode. This will cycle through different modes:

  • AUTO ON: The timer will remain ON until the next programmed OFF time.
  • AUTO OFF: The timer will remain OFF until the next programmed ON time.
  • ON: The timer output is continuously ON.
  • OFF: The timer output is continuously OFF.

Press ok again to return to the desired mode or to "AUTO" for normal operation.

6. Maintenance

The MT812L timer requires minimal maintenance to ensure long-term reliable operation.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the timer with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no liquids enter the device.
  • Battery: The timer contains an internal battery to retain settings during power outages. This battery is typically non-replaceable by the user and has a long lifespan. If the display is consistently blank after power loss, the internal battery may need professional servicing.
  • Environmental Conditions: Ensure the timer is operated within its specified temperature and humidity ranges to prevent damage.

7. Troubleshooting
