1. Introduction

The Temtop T1 Humidity Meter is a high-precision indoor thermometer and hygrometer designed to accurately monitor environmental temperature and humidity. Equipped with a Swiss-made sensor, it provides reliable data for various indoor environments such as homes, offices, greenhouses, and baby nurseries. Its smart features include historical data viewing, notification alerts, and OTA updates via a dedicated mobile application, ensuring continuous performance and user convenience.

3. Product Overview

The Temtop T1 features a compact design with a clear 3-inch LCD display. It shows current temperature, humidity, and maximum/minimum readings for the past 24 hours. A three-color indicator visually represents humidity comfort levels (dry, comfortable, humid).

3.1 Buttons and Ports

  • Power Button: Located on the top, used to power on/off the device (long press) and toggle the buzzer alarm (short press).
  • Mode Button: Located on the top, used to switch between Fahrenheit/Celsius (long press) and 12-hour/24-hour time display (short press).
  • USB-C Port: Located on the side for charging.

3.2 Placement Options

The T1 offers versatile placement options:

  • Magnetic Mounting: Attach to metal surfaces like refrigerators.
  • Desktop Stand: Use the included bracket for multi-angle viewing on a desk or table.

4. Setup

4.1 Initial Power On

To power on the device, press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds. The display will light up, showing current readings.

4.2 App Download and Bluetooth Pairing

Download the "Temtop" app from your device's app store. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your device. The T1 uses Bluetooth for connectivity. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the device is within range (approximately 98-131 feet in open spaces). Bluetooth signals may be reduced by walls or obstructions.

The device's time can only be synchronized via the app.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Display Information

The LCD display shows:

  • Current Temperature (Fahrenheit or Celsius)
  • Current Humidity (%RH)
  • Max/Min Temperature for the last 24 hours
  • Max/Min Humidity for the last 24 hours
  • Time (12-hour or 24-hour format)
  • Battery Level
  • Bluetooth Connection Status
  • Buzzer Alarm Status

5.2 App Features

The Temtop app provides enhanced functionality:

  • Real-time Monitoring: View live temperature and humidity readings.
  • Historical Data: Access and analyze data trends for up to 100 days. Data can be exported for further analysis.
  • Customizable Alerts: Set specific temperature and humidity ranges to receive notification alerts on your phone if levels go outside your comfort zone.
  • Device Customization: Personalize settings such as temperature unit, time system, logging interval, and comfort settings.
  • OTA Updates: Receive firmware updates for continuous technical support and new features.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Life and Charging

The T1 is equipped with an 800mA large-capacity lithium battery, offering up to 180 days of battery life on a single charge (based on Temtop lab data; actual usage may vary). Recharge the device using the provided USB-C cable when the battery indicator on the display shows low power.

6.2 Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water. Ensure the device remains dry as it is not waterproof.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Device not powering on: Ensure the device is charged. Connect it to a power source using the USB-C cable.
  • Bluetooth connection issues:
    • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the device.
    • Keep the device and phone within line-of-sight for optimal performance.
    • Bluetooth signals cannot pass through walls, which may reduce the connection range.
    • Restart both the device and your phone, then try pairing again.
  • Inaccurate readings:
    • Ensure the device is placed in a stable environment, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or drafts.
    • Allow the device sufficient time (at least 30 minutes) to acclimate to a new environment for accurate readings.
    • If readings seem consistently off, consider using the calibration function in the app (refer to app settings).
  • Time not synchronized: The device's time can only be synchronized via the app. Connect to the app to update the time.
