Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps carefully for proper assembly. It is recommended to have at least two people for this process.

  1. Step 1: Unpack and Identify Parts

Carefully unpack all components and lay them out. Refer to the package contents list to ensure all parts are present and undamaged.

  2. Step 2: Assemble the Main Frame

Connect the main support posts using the provided horizontal beams. Ensure all connections are secure but do not fully tighten bolts until the frame is upright.

Operating Instructions

The Aoxun pergola features a retractable canopy for adjustable shade.

  • Extending the Canopy:

Grasp the handles on the canopy and pull it outwards to extend the shade. You can adjust the canopy to cover the desired area, blocking sunlight from different angles (left, middle, or right).

  • Retracting the Canopy:

Push the canopy inwards towards the main frame to retract it. This is recommended during strong winds, heavy rain, or when full sun exposure is desired.

  • Securing the Canopy:

When fully retracted or extended, the canopy can be secured to the pergola poles using the attached ties to prevent flapping in light breezes.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance will prolong the life of your pergola.

  • Cleaning the Frame:

Wipe the aluminum frame with a damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly with water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.

  • Cleaning the Canopy:

The PA-coated fabric can be cleaned with mild soap and water. Use a soft brush or sponge for stubborn dirt. Allow to air dry completely before retracting for storage or extended periods.

  • Seasonal Care:

In regions with heavy snow or extreme weather, it is recommended to remove the canopy during winter months to prevent damage from snow accumulation or ice. Store the canopy in a dry, protected area.

  • Hardware Inspection:

Periodically check all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten as necessary.
