1. Setup and Assembly

Before beginning assembly, ensure all components are present and undamaged. It is recommended to assemble the lamp on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Verify you have the marble base, main pole sections, five lamp arms, five glass shades, and any necessary fasteners.
  2. Attach Base: Secure the main pole to the marble base using the provided hardware. Ensure it is tightened firmly for stability.
  3. Assemble Pole: Connect any additional pole sections if applicable, ensuring they are securely fastened.
  4. Install Lamp Arms: Attach the five lamp arms to the main pole. These arms are designed to be adjustable, allowing you to position them as desired.
  5. Install Light Bulbs: This lamp requires five E14 bulbs, each with a maximum wattage of 40W. Bulbs are not included. Carefully screw the E14 bulbs into each of the five sockets.
  6. Attach Glass Shades: Place the white glass shades over each bulb and secure them according to the lamp's design.

3. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your lamp.

  • Cleaning: Disconnect the lamp from the power supply before cleaning. Wipe the metal and marble surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. For glass shades, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth to prevent water spots. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Bulb Replacement: Always disconnect the lamp from the power supply before replacing bulbs. Allow old bulbs to cool completely before removal. Replace with E14 bulbs, ensuring they do not exceed the maximum wattage of 40W per bulb.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the power cord for any signs of damage. Ensure all connections and fasteners remain tight.

4. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your HOFSTEIN Nikkala Floor Lamp, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Lamp Does Not Turn On:
    • Check if the lamp is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Ensure the on/off switch is in the 'on' position.
    • Verify that the light bulbs are correctly installed and not burnt out. Replace any faulty bulbs.
    • Check your household circuit breaker or fuse box.
  • Flickering Light:
    • Ensure bulbs are screwed in tightly.
    • Replace the bulb to see if the issue is with the bulb itself.
    • Check for loose connections in the lamp's wiring (if safely accessible and you have electrical knowledge). If not, consult a qualified electrician.
  • Lamp is Unstable:
    • Ensure the main pole is securely fastened to the marble base.
    • Place the lamp on a flat, level surface.
