5. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your HIBOITEC landscape lighting kit, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Regular Cleaning: Periodically clean the light fixtures and transformer housing with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt, dust, and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Inspect Wiring: Annually inspect all wiring for any signs of damage, fraying, or loose connections. Ensure all waterproof connectors are tightly sealed.
- Clear Debris: Keep the area around the spotlights and transformer clear of leaves, mulch, and other plant debris to prevent overheating and ensure proper sensor function.
- Check Stakes: Ensure ground stakes remain firmly in place. Re-secure if they become loose due to soil erosion or other factors.
- Winter Care: While the lights are designed to be anti-freezing and waterproof (IP65), in areas with heavy snowfall or extreme cold, consider clearing snow from around the fixtures to maintain light output and prevent excessive stress on components.
