3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. Keep all packaging materials until you are satisfied with the product.
3.2 Placement
For optimal performance, place the dehumidifier in a central location within the area requiring dehumidification. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper airflow. Avoid placing it against walls or furniture that could obstruct the air intake or exhaust.

3.3 Drainage Options
The AIRPLUS WFS2008 offers two methods for water removal:
- Manual Drainage (Water Tank): The unit collects condensed water in its internal 1.35-gallon (5.5-liter) water tank. When the tank is full, the dehumidifier will automatically shut off and emit an audible alert. Empty the tank and reinsert it to resume operation.
- Continuous Drainage (Drain Hose): For extended operation without manual emptying, connect the included drain hose to the drainage port at the back of the unit. Route the hose to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, sink) ensuring it is sloped downwards for gravity flow.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your dehumidifier.
5.1 Cleaning the Air Filter
The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality. A dirty filter can reduce efficiency and cause the unit to work harder.
- Turn off the dehumidifier and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Locate the air filter (typically at the back or side of the unit).
- Remove the filter.
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting. Do not use a dishwasher.
- Reinstall the dry filter and plug in the unit.
5.2 Emptying the Water Tank
When using manual drainage, the water tank will need to be emptied periodically.
- When the 'Full' indicator illuminates and the unit beeps, turn off the dehumidifier.
- Carefully pull out the water tank from the unit.
- Pour out the collected water.
- Slide the empty tank back into the unit until it clicks into place. The unit will resume operation automatically.
5.3 Cleaning the Exterior
Wipe the exterior of the dehumidifier with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
