4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking and Placement

1. Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging.
2. Place the unit on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is adequate space (at least 5 inches) around the unit for proper ventilation.
3. Allow the ice maker to stand upright for at least 4 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle.

4.2 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, it is recommended to clean the ice maker.

1. Open the lid and remove the ice basket.
2. Fill the water tank with potable water up to the MAX fill line.
3. Close the lid.
4. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
5. Press and hold the "CLEAN" button for 3 seconds to activate the self-cleaning mode. The cleaning cycle will run for approximately 15 minutes.
6. After the cleaning cycle, drain the water from the unit as described in the Maintenance section.

4.3 Filling the Water Tank

The ice maker features a 3.6-liter water tank.

1. Open the lid and remove the ice basket.
2. Pour potable water into the water tank up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
3. Replace the ice basket and close the lid.

5. Operation

5.1 Powering On/Off

• To turn on the ice maker, press the "POWER" button. The "MAKING ICE" indicator will illuminate.
• To turn off the ice maker, press the "POWER" button again.

5.2 Starting Ice Production

Once the water tank is filled and the unit is powered on, ice production will begin automatically. The first batch of nugget ice can be produced in approximately 5 minutes.

5.3 Understanding Indicators

• MAKING ICE: Illuminates when the unit is actively producing ice.
• ICE FULL: Illuminates when the ice basket is full. The ice production will pause automatically.
• ADD WATER: Illuminates when the water level in the tank is low. Ice production will stop until water is refilled.

5.4 Automatic Ice Making Cycle

The ice maker features an automatic cycle. When the ice level reaches the infrared sensor, ice production pauses. It will resume after 30 minutes if the ice level drops below the sensor, ensuring a continuous supply of ice.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Self-Cleaning Function

The auto-clean mode simplifies the cleaning process.

1. Ensure the ice maker is empty of ice and water.
2. Fill the water tank with potable water up to the MAX fill line.
3. Press and hold the "CLEAN" button for 3 seconds. The cleaning cycle will run for approximately 15 minutes.
4. After the cycle, drain the water from the unit.

6.2 Regular Cleaning

• Wipe the exterior of the ice maker with a soft, damp cloth.
• Clean the ice basket and scoop with mild detergent and water, then rinse thoroughly.
• Regularly check and clean the air vents on the sides and back of the unit to ensure proper airflow.

6.3 Draining Water

To drain water from the unit, locate the drain plug (usually at the bottom or back) and remove it to allow water to flow out. Ensure the unit is unplugged before draining.

6.4 Descaling

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may accumulate. Descalers are needed to remove limescale. Follow the instructions provided with a suitable descaling solution for ice makers.
