- Software Updates: Check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates to ensure your device has the latest features and bug fixes.
- SD Card Management: Regularly format the 64GB SD card (after backing up important recordings) to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your jelkuz MT10 system, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Device Does Not Shut Down with Motorcycle: This is often due to incorrect wiring. Refer to the wiring diagram in Section 3.2 and ensure the positive terminal is connected to a switched power source that turns off with the ignition.
- Bluetooth Connection Issues: Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth is enabled and discoverable. Forget previous pairings on both devices and attempt to reconnect. Ensure your phone supports wireless CarPlay or wireless Android Auto.
- Screen Brightness is Low: While the screen offers brightness adjustment, visibility can be challenging in direct sunlight. Adjust the brightness setting on the device. Consider adding an external sun visor if needed.
- Date and Time Keep Changing: Verify that the device's internal clock settings are correctly configured. If connected to your smartphone, ensure time synchronization is enabled.
- Wired Controller Mounting: The system includes a small mounting device for the controller. If it does not suit your handlebars, alternative mounting solutions may be required (not included).
- Cannot Adjust Volume on Screen: As noted in Section 4.4, volume control is managed via your connected smartphone or Bluetooth audio device, not directly on the MT10 screen.
