5. Setup and Installation

5.1. Wiring Diagram

5.2. Installation Steps

  1. Mount the ZL Bracket: Securely attach the ZL bracket to the door frame and the door itself, ensuring proper alignment for the magnetic lock and armature plate.
  2. Install the Magnetic Lock: Mount the magnetic lock onto the ZL bracket on the door frame.
  3. Install the Armature Plate: Attach the armature plate to the door, aligning it precisely with the magnetic lock. Use the provided template for drilling holes if available.
  4. Mount the Exit Button: Install the stainless steel exit button at a convenient location inside the secured area.
  5. Mount the Power Supply Controller: Secure the power supply controller in a suitable, well-ventilated location.
  6. Wire the Components: Follow the wiring diagram (Figure 5.1) to connect the magnetic lock, exit button, and remote control receiver to the power supply controller. Pay close attention to polarity and terminal labels (N.O., N.C., GND, +12V, PUSH, CTRL+, CTRL-).
  7. Connect Power: Connect the power supply controller to a 110V-240V AC power source using the provided power plug connector.
  8. Test the System: After all connections are made, apply power and test the functionality of the magnetic lock, exit button, and remote control.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Unlocking with Remote Control

Press the unlock button on the remote control fob. The magnetic lock will disengage, allowing the door to be opened. The remote control has a maximum range of 165 feet.

6.2. Exiting with Push Button

From inside the secured area, press the stainless steel exit button. This will momentarily disengage the magnetic lock, allowing you to open the door.

6.3. Alarm Beeper Function

The magnetic lock features a built-in alarm beeper. If the door is not securely closed and the magnetic lock is not fully engaged after a set delay (configurable via the power supply controller), the alarm will sound to indicate an insecure state.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the magnetic lock and armature plate surfaces to ensure optimal contact and holding force. Use a soft, dry cloth.
  • Connection Check: Regularly inspect all wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear or corrosion.
