1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the GYMAX Inflatable Hot Tub. This manual provides essential information for the safe operation, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your hot tub. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use, and retain it for future reference.

This inflatable hot tub is designed for outdoor use, accommodating 4-6 persons, and features 130 soothing air jets, an insulated lockable cover, a ground mat, and a filtration system.

2. Important Safety Instructions

When installing and using this electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  • Read all instructions before using this hot tub.
  • Electrical Safety: The heater pump features a GFCI plug. Always ensure the GFCI is tested before each use. Do not operate the hot tub if the GFCI fails.
  • Temperature Limits: The heating system operates between 68°F (20°C) and 104°F (40°C). For safety, avoid using the hot tub when ambient temperatures drop to 39°F (4°C) or below to prevent freezing and damage.
  • Child Safety: This hot tub includes a child lock function. Always engage the safety lock on the spa cover when not in use to prevent unsupervised access by children.
  • Supervision: Children should not use the hot tub without adult supervision.
  • Water Chemistry: Maintain proper water chemistry to ensure safe and hygienic operation. Refer to the maintenance section for details.
  • Medical Conditions: Consult a physician before use if you have any medical conditions, are pregnant, or are elderly.
  • Alcohol and Drugs: Do not use the hot tub under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may cause drowsiness.
  • Overheating: Prolonged immersion in hot water can be hazardous to your health. Limit usage to 15-30 minutes at a time.
  • Placement: Ensure the hot tub is placed on a flat, stable surface capable of supporting its weight when filled with water and occupants.
  • Damage Prevention: The 3-layer PVC wall is puncture-proof, scratch-proof, and tear-resistant. However, avoid sharp objects. Use the provided ground mat to protect the bottom.

4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Site Selection

Choose a flat, level, and stable surface for your hot tub. The area must be able to support the weight of the filled hot tub (approximately 240 gallons of water plus occupants). Ensure adequate drainage is available.

4.2 Hot Tub Inflation

  1. Unfold the hot tub and place the ground mat underneath it.
  2. Connect the inflation hose from the heater pump to the hot tub's air valve.
  3. Plug in the heater pump and turn on the inflation function. The hot tub should inflate in approximately 5 minutes.
  4. Once fully inflated, disconnect the hose and securely close the air valve. Do not over-inflate.

4.3 Water Filling

  1. Ensure the drain valve is closed.
  2. Fill the hot tub with water using a garden hose.
  3. Fill until the water level is between the "Min" and "Max" lines indicated on the hot tub wall.

4.4 Filter Installation

  1. Attach the filter cartridges to the filter housing inside the hot tub.
  2. Ensure the filter covers are securely in place.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Control Panel Overview

The LED touch control panel on the heater pump allows you to manage all hot tub functions.

5.2 Heating Function

  • Press the "Heater" button on the control panel to activate the PTC heater pump.
  • Use the "Temp Up" and "Temp Down" buttons to set your desired water temperature between 68°F (20°C) and 104°F (40°C).
  • The insulated spa cover helps minimize heat loss and maintain the set temperature.
  • Note: The heating system will automatically stop if the bubble function is activated. Heating will resume automatically once the bubble function stops and the water temperature is below the preset level.

5.3 Bubble Massage Function

  • Press the "Bubble" button to activate the 130 air jets for a soothing massage.
  • The bubble function has an automatic 20-minute shut-off for safety and energy efficiency.
  • Note: The bubble function and heating function cannot operate simultaneously.

5.4 Child Lock

  • Press the "Lock" button to engage or disengage the child lock on the control panel. This prevents unintended operation.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Filtration System

The hot tub features a built-in circulating filtration system to keep the water clean. Regularly check and clean the filter cartridges.

6.2 Filter Cartridge Replacement

  • The control panel will provide a reminder to replace the filter cartridges after approximately 168 hours of use.
  • Turn off the hot tub and disconnect power before replacing filters.
  • Remove the filter covers and old cartridges.
  • Insert new filter cartridges and secure the covers.

6.3 Water Drainage

To drain the hot tub, locate the drain valve at the bottom. Connect a garden hose to direct the water away from your property. Open the valve to allow water to drain completely.

6.4 Cleaning and Storage

  • After draining, clean the interior of the hot tub with a mild detergent and soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Ensure the hot tub is completely dry before folding and storing it in the provided storage bag.
  • Store in a dry, protected area away from extreme temperatures.
