Insert the stainless steel probes into the thickest part of the meat, avoiding bones. Ensure the probe insertion depth exceeds the safe cooking line marked on the probe for accurate internal temperature readings.
- Connecting to the App (WiFi/Bluetooth):
Download the "INKBIRD" app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your device via WiFi (for unlimited range within 2.4GHz network) or Bluetooth 5.4 (up to 300ft range). The device also supports a Local Mode for direct monitoring without a phone connection.

Troubleshooting
- Connection Issues:
If the connection between the probes and the base unit or between the base unit and your phone drops, the system is designed to reconnect quickly. Ensure your WiFi router is within 100m/328ft for WiFi connections and that the distance between the probe and base does not exceed 6-8m for local mode.
- "Probe Too Hot" Error:
This error may occur if a probe touches hot grates or surfaces. Ensure probes are inserted correctly into the meat, avoiding direct contact with extreme heat sources outside the intended cooking environment.
- Inaccurate Readings:
Verify that the probes are inserted past the safe cooking line into the thickest part of the meat. If readings still seem off, consider using the calibration function within the app or device settings to fine-tune accuracy.
