3. Setup

3.1 Connecting the Keyboard

1. Locate the USB-C port on the MELETRIX Chilkey BOOG75 keyboard.
2. Connect one end of the provided USB cable to the keyboard's USB-C port.
3. Connect the other end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer (PC or Mac).

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Key Features

• Magnetic Hall Sensor Switches: Provide ultra-fast response with adjustable actuation points and instant 1ms actuation with zero debounce delay.
• Rapid Trigger: Allows keys to activate on the way down and reset on the way up, enabling quick, repeated inputs.

4.3 Dynamic Keystroke (DKS)

DKS allows you to assign multiple actions to a single key based on how deep you press it. For example, a light press could be 'walk', and a deeper press could be 'run'.

• Define different actuation depths for up to four distinct actions per key.

4.4 RGB Lighting Customization

4.5 Hot-Swappable Switches

The BOOG75 keyboard supports hot-swappable magnetic switches. This allows you to change switches without soldering.

1. Power off the keyboard and disconnect it from your computer.
2. Use a switch puller (not included) to carefully remove the desired switch.
3. Align the pins of the new compatible magnetic switch with the sockets on the PCB.
4. Gently press the new switch into place until it clicks. Ensure it is seated properly.
5. Reconnect the keyboard and test the new switch.

Note: Only use compatible magnetic switches. Incompatible switches may damage the keyboard.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

• Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
• Use a can of compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps.
• For general cleaning of keycaps and the aluminum case, use a soft, damp cloth with a mild cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals.
• For deeper cleaning, keycaps can be removed (using a keycap puller, not included) and washed with warm, soapy water. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.

5.2 Water Resistance

The MELETRIX Chilkey BOOG75 keyboard has an IP54 rating, indicating protection against limited dust ingress and water spray from any direction. While it offers some water resistance, it is not fully waterproof. Avoid submerging the keyboard in liquids. • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer.
