1. Important Safety Instructions

• Water Exposure: While the fixture is designed for grow environments, avoid direct water spray onto electrical connections. Ensure all connections are secure and dry.
• Mounting: Mount the fixture securely to prevent it from falling. Ensure the mounting surface can support the weight of the light bar.
• Ventilation: Ensure adequate airflow around the fixture to prevent overheating.
• Children and Pets: Keep the product out of reach of children and pets.

3. What's Included

Verify that all components are present in your package:

• 4 x Faven R8 LED Light Fixtures
• 1 x 240 Volt Power Cord
• 1 x Extension Cord

4. Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Faven R8 LED Grow Light Bar.

4.1 Mounting the Light Bar

The Faven R8 is designed for surface mounting. Ensure the mounting location is stable and can support the fixture's weight. Use appropriate hardware (not included) for your specific mounting surface.

4.2 Electrical Connection

1. Ensure the power source is off before making any connections.
2. Connect the provided 240 Volt power cord to one of the Faven R8 light fixtures. The connector is designed for a secure fit.

3. If connecting multiple light bars, proceed to the daisy-chaining instructions.
4. Once all connections are made, turn on the power supply.

4.3 Daisy-Chaining Multiple Light Bars

The Faven R8 light bars can be daisy-chained together to create a continuous lighting system. Use the provided extension cord or additional Faven extension cords for this purpose.

1. Locate the male and female connectors on each light bar.

2. Connect the male end of one light bar to the female end of another light bar, or use an extension cord to bridge gaps between fixtures.

3. Ensure all connections are secure and fully seated.

Daisy-Chain Capacity:

The maximum number of Faven R8 light bars that can be daisy-chained depends on the voltage:

• 240V System: Up to 17 lights (0.5 Amps per light)
• 120V System: Up to 10 lights (1.0 Amps per light)
• 277V System: Up to 20 lights (0.43 Amps per light)

Do not exceed these limits to prevent electrical overload.

5. Operation

Once installed and connected to power, the Faven R8 LED Grow Light Bar is ready for operation.

5.1 Powering On/Off

The light bar will illuminate when power is supplied to the circuit it is connected to. Use an external timer or switch to control the on/off cycles according to your plant's needs.

5.2 Dimming and Spectrum Adjustment

The Faven R8 light bar supports dimming and adjustable spectrum features. These functions require compatible external controllers, such as those from Trolmaster or Vivosun. Refer to your controller's manual for specific instructions on connecting and operating these features.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your Faven R8 LED Grow Light Bar.

• Cleaning: Periodically clean the light bar's surface with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Ensure the power is disconnected before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Inspection: Regularly inspect the power cord, extension cords, and connectors for any signs of damage, wear, or corrosion. Replace any damaged components immediately.
• Ventilation: Ensure that the cooling fins on the fixture are free from obstructions to maintain proper heat dissipation.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Faven R8 LED Grow Light Bar, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

• Light Does Not Turn On:
  • Check if the power cord is securely plugged into both the light bar and the power outlet.
  • Verify that the power outlet is functional by testing it with another device.
  • Ensure the circuit breaker has not tripped.
  • If daisy-chaining, check all connections between light bars.
• Light Flickers or Dims Unexpectedly:
  • Ensure all electrical connections are secure and free from corrosion.
  • If using a dimmer, verify it is compatible and properly connected.
  • Check if the daisy-chain capacity has been exceeded (refer to Section 4.3).
• Overheating:
  • Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the fixture.
  • Clear any obstructions from the cooling fins.
