Thank you for purchasing the boAt Stone Opus Bluetooth Speaker. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your speaker. Please read it carefully to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your device.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge your boAt Stone Opus speaker. Use the provided Type-C charging cable.

  1. Connect the Type-C end of the charging cable to the speaker's charging port.
  2. Connect the USB-A end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included).
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. It will turn off or change color once fully charged.

A full charge provides up to 12 hours of playback, depending on volume levels and usage.

4.2 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button located on the control panel until the indicator light turns on and you hear an audible prompt.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until the indicator light turns off and you hear an audible prompt.

5. Operating the Speaker

5.1 Bluetooth Pairing

The boAt Stone Opus uses Bluetooth v5.3 for wireless connectivity.

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth pairing mode (indicator light will flash).
  2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "boAt Stone Opus" from the list of devices.
  4. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone, and the indicator light will become solid.

5.2 Multilink Connectivity

The Multilink feature allows you to connect the Stone Opus to two devices simultaneously and switch between them seamlessly.

  1. Connect the first device to the speaker via Bluetooth as described in section 5.1.
  2. Connect the second device to the speaker via Bluetooth. The speaker will automatically prioritize the last connected device for audio playback.
  3. To switch between devices, simply pause playback on the current device and start playback on the other connected device.

5.3 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Function

Connect two boAt Stone Opus speakers wirelessly to create a stereo sound experience.

  1. Ensure both Stone Opus speakers are powered on and not connected to any other Bluetooth device.
  2. On one speaker (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the TWS button. You will hear an audible prompt indicating TWS pairing mode.
  3. The primary speaker will automatically search for the secondary speaker.
  4. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone, and the indicator lights on both speakers will synchronize.
  5. Now, connect your device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.
  6. To disconnect TWS, press and hold the TWS button on either speaker.

5.4 Multi-Compatibility (AUX, USB, TF Card)

In addition to Bluetooth, the Stone Opus supports playback via AUX, USB, and TF card.

  • AUX Mode: Connect an audio device using a 3.5mm AUX cable (not included) to the AUX input port. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode.
  • USB Mode: Insert a USB flash drive containing audio files into the USB port. The speaker will automatically detect and play audio from the drive.
  • TF Card Mode: Insert a TF (microSD) card containing audio files into the TF card slot. The speaker will automatically detect and play audio from the card.

5.5 Controls

The boAt Stone Opus features intuitive touch controls and rotary knobs for audio adjustment.

  • Volume Knob: Rotate clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease.
  • Bass Knob: Adjusts the bass level.
  • Treble Knob: Adjusts the treble level.
  • Play/Pause Button: Press once to play or pause audio.
  • Previous/Next Track Buttons: Press to skip to the previous or next track.
  • TWS Button: Used for True Wireless Stereo pairing (see section 5.3).

6. Maintenance

Proper care ensures the longevity of your speaker.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the speaker's surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Water Exposure: This speaker is not waterproof. Avoid exposure to water, rain, or excessive moisture.
  • Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To preserve battery life, charge the speaker regularly, even if not in use for extended periods. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your boAt Stone Opus, refer to the following common solutions:
