2. Setup Instructions

2.1 Placement

Place the turntable on a flat, stable, and level surface to prevent vibrations and ensure proper playback. Avoid placing it near heat sources, direct sunlight, or areas with high humidity.

2.2 Dust Cover Installation

Carefully align the hinges of the dust cover with the slots on the back of the turntable unit and gently push down until it is securely in place. The dust cover protects the platter and stylus from dust accumulation when not in use.

2.3 Platter and Belt Setup

The platter and drive belt are typically pre-installed. Ensure the drive belt is correctly positioned around the motor pulley and the inner rim of the platter. If not, gently place the belt around the motor pulley and the inner rim of the platter.

2.4 Tone Arm Balance and Tracking Force Adjustment

Proper tone arm balance and tracking force are essential for optimal sound quality and to prevent damage to your records and stylus.

  1. Remove the stylus protector.
  2. Gently release the tone arm from its rest.
  3. Rotate the counterweight at the back of the tone arm until the tone arm is perfectly balanced horizontally, floating freely without touching the platter or rising too high.
  4. Once balanced, hold the counterweight steady and rotate the tracking force ring (the numbered ring on the counterweight) to '0'.
  5. Rotate the entire counterweight (including the ring) counter-clockwise to the recommended tracking force, typically between 2.5 to 3.5 grams for most standard cartridges. Refer to your cartridge's specifications if available.
