6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your PARKVISION camera system, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning the Monitor: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the monitor screen. For stubborn smudges, a slightly damp cloth with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner can be used, then wipe dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Cleaning the Camera Lens: Gently wipe the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove dirt or water spots. Ensure the lens is clear for optimal image quality.
  • Suction Cup Maintenance: If the suction cup's adhesion weakens, detach it, wash the gel part with water, and let it air dry. This will restore its stickiness for reuse.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically check all cables and connections for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections. Secure any loose cables to prevent interference or disconnection.
  • Environmental Protection: While the camera is IP68 waterproof, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures or direct high-pressure water jets (e.g., from a car wash) directly on the camera or monitor.
