Setup
Physical Installation
The REOLINK CX820 camera can be mounted on a wall or ceiling. Use the provided mounting template to mark and drill holes. Secure the mounting plate, then attach the camera by aligning it with the plate and twisting clockwise until it locks securely. Ensure the cable is fed through the notch in the mount base.

Power and Network Connection (PoE Setup)
The CX820 supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), meaning a single Ethernet cable provides both power and data. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the camera's network port and the other end to a PoE switch or a PoE-enabled NVR. If you are not using a PoE device, you will need a 12V DC power adapter (not included) to power the camera separately.

Initial Setup via Reolink App
Download the Reolink App from your app store. Ensure your smartphone is connected to the same network as the camera. Launch the app, tap the '+' icon to add a new device, and follow the on-screen instructions to scan the QR code on the camera. Create a strong password for your device to complete the initial setup.

Operating Instructions
4K True Full-Color Night Vision
The CX820 captures 4K UHD images and videos with exceptional clarity and color, even in extremely low light. Its F1.0 super aperture lens gathers 4x more light than conventional F2.0 lenses, and the 1/1.8" image sensor processes light with higher sensitivity. Paired with a powerful ISP module, the camera reproduces night scenes without color distortion.

Advanced HDR Technology
Experience superior image clarity with HDR. This technology enhances colors, brightness, and detail, delivering a more vibrant and lifelike image compared to SDR. Every scene is captured with brighter highlights and richer shadows, providing true-to-life visuals day or night.

Smart Detection & Multi-Layered Alerts
Stay ahead of potential threats with AI detection, capable of distinguishing between human, vehicle, and animal movement, reducing false alarms. Customize siren and light alerts to warn off intruders with preset voice messages and varying levels of intense light.

3000K Warm Lights & 4 Modes
With powerful 3000K warm lights, all details are captured in vivid colors even in low light. The warm lights support 4 modes: Auto Mode, Smart Mode, Off Mode, and Timer Mode. Select the one that best suits your needs for optimal performance.

Two-Way Audio
The camera features a built-in microphone and speaker, enabling two-way audio communication. You can listen in on your property and speak to visitors or deter intruders directly through the Reolink App.
Various Storage Options
The CX820 offers flexible storage options with no monthly fees. You can record 24/7 to a microSD card (up to 256GB, not included), a Reolink NVR HDD, or an FTP server.

Maintenance
The REOLINK CX820 features an IP67 weatherproof design, ensuring reliable protection against water, dust, heat, and extreme cold. This allows for continuous performance in all conditions. Regularly check the lens for dust or smudges and clean with a soft, dry cloth. Ensure all cable connections are secure and the waterproof lid is properly sealed.

Troubleshooting
NVR Compatibility
REOLINK PoE cameras are fully compatible only with Reolink App/Client NVRs. Third-party NVRs are generally not supported for full functionality. Ensure your Reolink NVR is updated to the latest firmware version for optimal performance with the CX820.
No Power/No Video
Verify that the PoE connection is secure and the PoE switch/NVR is powered on. If using a DC adapter, ensure it is the correct voltage (12V) and properly connected. Check the Ethernet cable for any damage.
