1. Introduction

The ION Audio Pathfinder Go is a portable all-weather speaker designed for high-quality sound performance in various situations and locations. It features Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, multi-colored LED lights, FM radio, USB playback, and an AUX input. Its durable and water-resistant design makes it suitable for outdoor activities.

2. Getting Started & Setup

2.1 Unboxing

Upon opening the package, you will find the ION Audio Pathfinder Go speaker, a USB charging cable, and a quickstart guide. Please note that a charging adapter is not included and must be supplied by the user (e.g., a 5V, 2A USB adapter).

2.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the product for approximately 3 hours using the provided USB cable and a compatible 5V, 2A USB adapter (not included). This ensures optimal battery performance and longevity.

2.3 ION Sound Control™ App

For a more dynamic experience and to customize audio and lighting, download the ION Sound Control™ App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Connect your phone to the speaker via Bluetooth (see Section 3.1).

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off and Bluetooth Pairing

Press the power button (⏻) to turn the speaker on or off. Upon powering on, the speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Look for "PATHFINDER GO" in your device's Bluetooth settings to connect. The display will show a Bluetooth icon when connected.

3.2 Source Selection (FM Radio, USB, AUX)

Press the SOURCE button to cycle through available input modes: Bluetooth, FM Radio, USB, and AUX Input.

FM Radio:

In FM mode, use the < and > buttons to seek stations. Press and hold ⏸ /PRESETS to save preferred stations. Quickly press ⏸ /PRESETS to cycle between saved stations.

USB Playback:

Insert a USB drive into the USB-A port on the back panel. Tracks will play in the order they appear on the drive. Press ⏸ /PRESETS to begin/pause playback. Use < and > buttons to navigate tracks.

AUX Input:

Plug any sound source into the AUX input using a 1/8" (3.5mm) cable (not included). Press the SOURCE button to select AUX mode. Ensure the source device volume is turned up.

3.3 Volume Control

Use the + and - buttons to adjust the master volume.

3.4 Light Modes

Press the light bulb icon (💡) button to cycle through different light modes: Beat Sync, Solid, and Off. The lights pulse to the beat of the music in Beat Sync mode.

3.5 Boom Button

Press the BOOM button to instantly boost the bass for a more powerful sound experience.

3.6 Wireless Stereo-Link™

Wirelessly connect one additional Pathfinder Go or Pathfinder 320° speaker for true stereo sound. Refer to the user guide for detailed instructions on linking two speakers.

4. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity of your Pathfinder Go speaker, especially its battery, always fully charge the unit after each use. Avoid leaving the battery completely drained for extended periods, as this can reduce its lifespan. Store the speaker in a cool, dry place when not in use.

5. Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the unit is fully charged. If the battery is completely depleted, it may take a few minutes of charging before the unit powers on.
• No Sound: Check the volume level on both the speaker and your connected device. Ensure the correct source input is selected.
• Bluetooth Connection Issues: Make sure the speaker is in pairing mode. Try unpairing and re-pairing the device. Ensure no other Bluetooth devices are interfering.
• FM Radio Static: Reposition the speaker to improve reception. Use the app to fine-tune stations.
• Lights Not Working: Check the light mode settings. If issues persist, consult the ION Sound Control App or the full user guide.
