Setup

1. Charging the Battery

1. Insert the DB-110 battery into the camera.
2. Connect the camera to the USB Power Adapter using the supplied USB cable.
3. Plug the USB Power Adapter into a wall outlet. The charging indicator will illuminate.
4. Charging is complete when the indicator turns off.

2. Inserting a Memory Card

• Open the battery/card compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
• Insert an SDXC memory card into the slot with the label facing the correct direction until it clicks into place.
• Close the compartment cover securely.

3. Attaching the Hand Strap

Thread the supplied hand strap through the strap lug on the side of the camera to prevent accidental drops.

4. Initial Settings

Upon first power-on, the camera will prompt you to set the date, time, and language. Follow the on-screen instructions using the directional pad and OK button.

Basic Operation

1. Power On/Off

Press the ON/OFF button located on the top panel to turn the camera on or off.

2. Taking Photos

1. Turn the mode dial to your desired shooting mode (e.g., P for Program Auto).
2. Frame your shot using the LCD monitor.
3. Press the shutter button halfway down to focus. The focus frame will turn green when focus is achieved.
4. Press the shutter button fully to capture the image.

3. Video Recording

To record video, select the video recording mode (if available via a function button or menu setting) and press the shutter button to start/stop recording. The GR IIIx supports Full HD 1080/60p video recording.

4. Playback

Press the Playback button to view captured images and videos. Use the directional pad to navigate through your media.

5. Menu Navigation

Press the MENU button to access camera settings. Use the directional pad to select options and the OK button to confirm. The touchscreen LCD also allows for intuitive navigation.

Advanced Features

• Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE: Connect your camera to a smartphone or tablet for remote control and image transfer using the Ricoh Image Sync app.
• Macro Mode: The 40mm f/2.8 lens offers a close-up macro mode for detailed shots of small subjects.
