The POOLHACKER Solar-Powered Pool Fountain is designed to enhance your pool experience with adjustable water spray and integrated LED lighting. This manual provides instructions for proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Model YC043 fountain.

Setup Instructions
1. Initial Charging and Pairing
Before first use, ensure the solar panel receives direct sunlight for several hours to charge the internal battery. After turning on the light with the side button, press the [SUN] button on the remote to pair it with the lights. This step is crucial to prevent flickering and ensure proper light function.

2. Installation into Pool Return Fitting
The fountain unit connects to your pool's return fitting. Various adapters are included to ensure compatibility with different pool types.
- Included Adapters: Adapters for Inground Pool, Col*m*n 1.5in, I*tex 1.5in, Summerbuddy 1.5in, and Summerbuddy/I*tex 1.25in are provided.
- Other Adapters: For S*mmerw*ves/F*nsicle (old) and Funs*cl (new) fittings, additional adapters may be required and are sold separately.
- Incompatible Fittings: The fountain is not compatible with Threadless Return Inlets, Non-H*yw*rd Return Inlets (Inground Pool), or Non-Specified Brand/Size Return Inlets.

3. Adjusting Height and Angle
The fountain's riser, nozzle, and adjustable ball allow for customization of the spray angle, height, and direction. Adjust these components to achieve the desired water display.

Operating Instructions
1. Powering On and Off
To power on the fountain, long-press the side button on the unit until the lights turn on. To turn off, long-press the side button again or use the [OFF] button on the remote control.
2. Light Sensing Mode
The fountain light automatically illuminates at dusk in Light Sense Mode. The white indicator light on the unit signifies that the light sensor is active. If the light was turned off using the [OFF] button on the remote, the light sensor is paused. To reactivate it, press [ON] on the remote or long-press the light's button until the white indicator light appears.

3. Remote Control Functions
Use the provided remote control to manage the fountain's lighting features:
- [ON]/[OFF]: Turn the lights on or off.
- Color Selection: Choose from 10 vibrant colors.
- Mode Selection: Select from 4 dynamic lighting modes (e.g., Flash, Strobe, Smooth, Fade).
- Brightness Adjustment: Adjust light intensity (5000 LUX ultra-bright lighting).
- Timer Settings: Set auto-off timers for 1, 2, 3, or 4 hours. The default is 4 hours in Light Sense Mode.

4. Water Pressure and Filtration Control
The integrated pressure regulator allows adjustment of the spray distance and influences pool filtration. Adjust as needed for optimal performance and water circulation.

5. POOLHACKER Sync
If you own other POOLHACKER solar lighting series products, you can synchronize their lighting effects. Control or switch modes manually or with the remote (up to 98ft range) for a coordinated light display.
Maintenance
- Regularly inspect the solar panel for dirt or debris and clean it with a soft, damp cloth to ensure optimal charging efficiency.
- Check the fountain nozzles periodically for blockages and clear them to maintain consistent water flow.
- During winter months or extended periods of non-use, it is recommended to remove the fountain from the pool, clean it thoroughly, and store it in a dry, protected area.
Troubleshooting
Light Not Turning On at Night (Light Sensor Issue)
If the light does not turn on automatically at night, it may be because the light sensor was paused. This happens if the light was turned off using the [OFF] button on the remote.
- Press the [ON] button on the remote control.
- Alternatively, long-press the light's side button to restart it.
- The white indicator light on the unit means the light sensor is active again.
- To test the light sensor, cover the solar panel with an opaque object (e.g., towel, cardboard, or hand) for 1-2 seconds. If the light turns on and the indicator light is white, the sensor is active. If it stays off, press [ON] and test again.
Light Flickering
If the light flickers, it may indicate a pairing issue or low battery.
- Ensure the solar panel is receiving adequate sunlight for charging.
- Hold the [SUN] button on the remote control to re-pair the remote with the fountain unit.

Insufficient Water Spray
- Ensure your pool filter pump meets the minimum requirements. A filter pump of at least 0.2 HP or higher is recommended for optimal performance.
- Check for any blockages in the fountain's nozzles or the connecting pipes.
- Adjust the pressure regulator to increase water flow.
