4. Setup and Installation
Before installation, ensure all components are present and undamaged. The package includes one 12V100AH LiFePO4 battery.
4.1. Pre-Installation Checklist
- Verify battery voltage and capacity match your system requirements.
- Ensure all cables and connectors are appropriately sized for the expected current.
- Confirm the charging source is compatible with LiFePO4 batteries.
- Prepare a clean, dry, and well-ventilated installation area.
4.2. Connecting the Battery
The battery terminals are M8 bolts. Ensure secure connections to prevent arcing and power loss.
- Connect the positive (+) terminal of the battery to the positive (+) terminal of your load/system.
- Connect the negative (-) terminal of the battery to the negative (-) terminal of your load/system.
- For multiple batteries in series or parallel, refer to section 4.3.
- Ensure all connections are tight and secure.

4.3. Series and Parallel Connections
This battery supports up to 4S4P configurations for increased voltage or capacity:
- Series Connection (4S): Connect up to four batteries in series to achieve a maximum voltage of 48V (51.2V nominal). This increases the system voltage while maintaining the same capacity (e.g., 48V 100Ah).
- Parallel Connection (4P): Connect up to four batteries in parallel to achieve a maximum capacity of 400Ah while maintaining 12V. This increases the total energy storage (e.g., 12V 400Ah).
- Series-Parallel Connection (4S4P): Combine series and parallel connections for a maximum system of 48V 400Ah (20.48kWh).
Important: When connecting multiple batteries, ensure all batteries are at a similar state of charge before connecting them. Use appropriate busbars and cables for high current applications.

6. Maintenance
LiFePO4 batteries require minimal maintenance compared to lead-acid batteries. Follow these guidelines to ensure optimal performance and longevity:
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check the battery terminals for corrosion or loose connections. Clean terminals if necessary.
- Keep Clean and Dry: Ensure the battery surface is clean and dry. Avoid dust and moisture accumulation.
- Temperature Management: While the battery operates across a wide temperature range, prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures (especially above 150°F or below -4°F) can affect performance and lifespan. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Storage: If storing the battery for an extended period, charge it to approximately 50% State of Charge (SOC) and disconnect it from any loads or chargers. Recharge every 3-6 months to prevent deep discharge.
- Avoid Deep Discharge: The built-in BMS protects against over-discharge, but it's good practice to avoid consistently running the battery to its lowest voltage limit.
