Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to prepare your pressure washer for first use.

  1. Unpack and Assemble: Remove all components from the packaging. Attach the handle, wheels, and any other accessories as per the included assembly guide.
  2. Add Engine Oil: Ensure the pressure washer is on a level surface. Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick. Carefully pour SAE 10W-30 engine oil into the crankcase until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
Refer to the engine image for oil fill location.
  3. Add Fuel: Fill the fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline. Do not use E85 or other ethanol blends higher than E10. Leave some space for expansion. Securely replace the fuel cap.
Refer to the engine image for fuel tank location.
  4. Connect Water Supply: Attach a garden hose (minimum 5/8 inch diameter) to the water inlet on the pressure washer. Ensure the connection is tight. Turn on the water supply completely.
  5. Connect High-Pressure Hose: Connect one end of the 25 ft high-pressure hose to the pressure washer's high-pressure outlet and the other end to the spray gun. Tighten all connections securely.
  6. Purge Air from System: Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to allow water to flow through the system, purging any air. Continue until a steady stream of water emerges from the nozzle.
Six-step visual guide for starting the pressure washer: adding gasoline, adding oil, turning engine switch ON, setting choke to ON, pulling starter cord, and setting choke to RUN.

Operating Instructions

Starting the Engine

  1. Ensure the water supply is fully open and all connections are secure.
  2. Turn the engine switch to the "ON" position.
  3. Move the choke lever to the "ON" or "CLOSED" position (for cold starts).
  4. Pull the starter cord firmly and smoothly until the engine starts.
  5. Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the "RUN" or "OPEN" position.
  6. Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before beginning operation.

Using Quick-Connect Nozzles

The Imdot pressure washer includes 5 quick-connect nozzles for various cleaning tasks. Select the appropriate nozzle based on the surface and desired cleaning intensity.

  • Red (0°): Delivers a highly concentrated, pinpoint stream for stubborn stains and tough grime. Use with extreme caution as it can damage surfaces.
  • Yellow (15°): Provides a powerful, narrow spray for intensive cleaning of hard surfaces like concrete and brick.
  • Green (25°): Offers a wider spray pattern for general cleaning of decks, patios, and driveways.
  • White (40°): Produces a broad, gentle spray for cleaning delicate surfaces such as vehicles, boats, and windows.
  • Black (Soap/Low Pressure): Used for applying detergents. Activates the soap tank for mixing cleaning solutions with the water stream.

Applying Detergent (Soap Tank)

The 0.5-gallon soap tank allows for easy application of cleaning solutions.

  2. Attach the black (soap) nozzle to the spray gun.
  3. Start the pressure washer. The detergent will be drawn from the tank and mixed with the water at low pressure.
  4. Apply detergent to the desired surface. Allow it to soak for a few minutes (refer to detergent instructions).
  5. Switch to a high-pressure nozzle (e.g., 25° or 15°) to rinse the surface thoroughly.

Shutting Down the Pressure Washer

  1. Turn off the engine switch.
  2. Turn off the water supply.
  3. Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to release any remaining pressure in the system.
  4. Disconnect the garden hose and high-pressure hose.

  • Engine Oil: Check engine oil level before each use. Change oil after the first 5 hours of operation, then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
  • Air Filter: Inspect the air filter regularly. Clean or replace if dirty to ensure proper engine performance.
  • Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug annually. Replace if worn or fouled.
  • Fuel Filter: Check and replace the fuel filter as needed, typically annually.
  • Nozzle Cleaning: If pressure drops or becomes inconsistent, clean the nozzle tips with the included nozzle cleaning tool to remove any blockages.
  • Water Inlet Filter: Regularly check and clean the water inlet filter to prevent debris from entering the pump.
  • Storage: For long-term storage, drain all fuel from the tank and carburetor, and drain water from the pump. Consider using a fuel stabilizer. Store in a dry, frost-free area.
