2. Product Overview

3. Setup

Before first use, ensure all packaging materials are removed. Place the unit on a firm, level surface. The unit is designed for medium to large family rooms and bedrooms, effectively purifying the air in an 86 sq. ft. room 4.8 times per hour or in a 416 sq. ft. room 1 time per hour.

3.1 Filling the Water Tank

The humidifier features a convenient top-fill design for its 1.05-gallon tank.

1. Remove the top cover by lifting it off.
2. Carefully pour clean, cool tap water into the tank opening until it reaches the 'MAX' line. Do not overfill.
3. Replace the top cover securely.

3.2 Remote Control Setup

The unit comes with a remote control for convenient operation. Two AAA batteries are included and required for the remote. Install them following the polarity indicated inside the battery compartment.

4. Operating Instructions

The Homedics 2-in-1 unit features a digital display and touch controls on the top panel, as well as a remote control.

4.1 Power On/Off

Press the power button (⏻) on the unit or remote to turn the device on or off.

4.2 Fan Speed Control

The unit has multiple fan speeds. Press the fan speed button (⁕) to cycle through available speeds (1, 2, 3). Higher speeds provide faster air purification.

4.3 Auto Mode

Activate Auto Mode (A) for intelligent operation. The digital particle sensor provides clear, color-coded indoor air quality results, and the unit will automatically adjust the fan speed based on the detected air quality and humidity levels to maintain optimal conditions.

4.4 Timer Function

Set a timer for automatic shut-off. Press the timer button (◷) to select desired operating hours (e.g., 4 hours, 8 hours).

4.5 Display/Tank Light

Control the display and tank light. Press the light button (☀) to turn the lights on or off, which can be useful for nighttime operation.

5.1 Filter Replacement

The unit requires a filter change approximately every 12 months, depending on usage and air quality. Refer to the 'REPLACE FILTER RESET' indicator on the control panel. The filter is located at the base of the unit.

1. Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
2. Locate the filter compartment at the bottom of the unit.
3. Remove the old filter and dispose of it properly.
4. Insert a new Homedics replacement filter, ensuring it is correctly seated.
5. Close the filter compartment.
6. Plug the unit back in and press the 'REPLACE FILTER RESET' button to reset the filter indicator.

5.2 Cleaning the Water Tank

To prevent mineral buildup and ensure hygienic operation, regularly clean the water tank. The top-fill design makes cleaning easy.

• Unplug the unit.
• Remove the top cover and empty any remaining water.
• Wipe the inside of the tank with a soft, damp cloth. For mineral buildup, use a mixture of white vinegar and water, then rinse thoroughly.
• Ensure the tank is dry before refilling.
